Question guys, does anybody play Magneto/Strider? How does that work?
I don’t think Magneto can take advantage of Strider that well.
Its retarded because you cant run away from Magneto (not like you ever could in the first play) but if you get hit by Vajra he can repulsion you all the way into the corner and set up a mixup, shockwave if it will kill or if your in the corner and have 3 bars do gravity squeeze and get a full combo after it and you get the best anchor.
Obviously its not as good as character with a meterless quick OTG + Strider but its fucking close.

Question: Doom/X-23/Strider or X-23/Iron Man/Doom?
Tried it for a while, didn’t like it. Everytime a Vajra hit I was just like fuck this shit I should just play Doom lol. The mixup potential is nice but a guaranteed kill is that much better. Strider/Mags is okay though as long as you have Zero or Vergil to make up for Strider’s damage being balls.

- Dash like a madman. Dante has the silkiest movement ever. (IMO)
- If they’re within s.M’s range, it’s go time.
- Make patterns of projectiles while dashing back. Drive - Hysterics for pixies, Crystal - Drive/Hysterics for “HOLD FORWARD, WIN GAMES” types (Drive if they want to play Super Mario Bros. trying to get in or have a teleport, Hysterics if they have armor), j.H xx Air Play (air to air) or Acid Rain for aerial stallers/approachers (Air Play can also be used as a good left-righter if you get it charged at all then land with a buffered Air Trick), Twister/Tempest to say “fuck yo zoning nigga” (or Million Carats if you feel like a fucking boss and have meter for DT safety) and call Strider while charging 2 Multilocks if they get a little too feisty. That gives you a fun little double or nothing attempt at mixing up or bailing out if both gambits don’t work out.
- Cancel Drives, Crystals or Hysterics into Devil Trigger for obvious telederp or move with them and try to bait something under their cover.
- Reverb Shock - empty cancel Fireworks is GAWDLYKE. I’m not consistent with it, but this shit saves lives. On that note, DT when Fireworks has made contact and dash up with a high or low (low works best). The blockstun is nuts and people never ever block the buck shots low for some reason.
- If you aren’t sure if s.M will reach (and thus can’t engage True Style Tournament mode on their ass), but know s.H will, do it and Weasel Shot to get back to your proper spacing for more zoning.
- (Secret tech) if you are full screen away and they want to start zoning with moves that have that start up, greet them with a Grapple. Especially if you have an abusive full screen carry assist like Rapid Slash people might attempt to press buttons after.
- Stinger - assist + late bold canceled Air Trick - j.M/H cross ups.
… this reads more like Dante alone neutral, but I dunno, I’ve never really had extended setups with Strider. It’s usually call - teleport, call - dash under/over, call + projectile - some form of movement or s.H - Weasel Shot + Call xx Teleport - box dash j.H.
Cool. Thinking about playing Strider/Dante/Magneto or Magneto/Dante/Strider. I want to see if that can work against Zero.
