UMvC3 OTT: F*** online

I actually really enjoy 4chan’s mu and wg.

/mu/ stimulated my musical taste and opened me up to a variety of different genres and artists. It’s crazy, actually, looking back on your musical taste 5, 10, and 20 years ago. Christ.

It’s funny, about 10 years ago I was listening to whatever happened to be on the radio. I was a big Rap fan, and was a fan of B2K (lolwtf)

About 5 years ago I started listening to DnB and Liquid funk; got into Jazz and Punk Rock. Really starting listening to music, started to enjoy many genres and experimented w/ other genres like Funk.

Now at 27, I’m a fan of Nu-Jazz, Instrumental Hip-hop, Underground Hip-hop, Jazz, Classical, Classical Rock (LOVE 80’s Rock, wtf was I listening to in my childhood I don’t know), Classical Soul/Jazz, Punk Rock, Garage Rock, Funk, Psychodelic Funk, Trip-Hop, Hard Rock, Power Metal, ambient, Liquid Funk, and so many different genres it’s insane.

So OTT, how did your music taste change through your life?

Why is Daigo staring at me with that raep face. Its scary.

Oh my god I fucking love Fallout 3. I would love to stream this for y’all when I get my laptop back from repairs. I’ve actually been playing it again, now on Mothership Zeta with a busted ass Sneak-based + Melee chick. 100 Sneak + Chinese Stealth Armor and you can stuff grenades in people’s pockets all day err day. And melee sneak criticals are silent, so you literally can just run up to people and kill them in one hit, even on Very Hard. It’s so stupid.

Started off as a dad-rock dude.
Became a raphead
Now I’m all over electronic music in general, trying to get into DnB. Squarepusher is one of my favorite artists, was totally thrilled when I found out they had a song in Little Big Planet 2.

why would u stream a bad game like fallout 3? all u do in that game is run around and beat mole rats with a stick…fuck that game

jk

Fallout 3 is the only Bethesda game I ever liked ;___;

Quick timeline:
6th grade: ICP (The dark days shivers)
7th grade: Punk Rock
8th: Gangster Rap
Freshmen/Sophomore: Mainstream Rap, 80’s Rock
Jr/Senior: Conscious Rap, Underground Hip-Hop

Nowadays I listen to all of the above, bar ICP. Since I started college though, I’ve taken a liking to Jazz, Nu-Jazz, RnB, Orchestrated music, hip-hop instrumentals and a bunch of other stuff. It’s due to all the people I’ve met so far in college, and even people like Zeus who post music, that I’ve expanded my range of music. I’ll give anything recommend to me a chance.

cap gets stupid damage for nothing because of his super shitty level 3. nobody wants to fucking see that shit.

but really the combos are easy to do i think because his total “combo potential” is shitty. outside of assists you’re not going to see a cap TOD anyone, his meter build is not really that good I struggle to kill off DHC’s because either not enough meter or i wont be left with any if I do DHC. his special and normal minimum scaling is not bad, but he barely has hitstun on anything after one relaunch.

online cap however, is god. i will not argue about such derp.

I play basically every instrument. As a result, I appreciate most music.

When any genre of music skimps on its “musicality” I tend to lose interest.

My childhood music consisted of The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, Massive Attack, Jurassic Five, Beck, Tom Waits, The Residents, some Afrobeat, jazz, a bunch of other stuff, and whatever was playing on the NES/SNES/Genesis. From there, it hasn’t really changed much but has become additive, with more trip hop, other electronic, and experimental whatever over the years along with whatever else my parents were listening to. I guess that’s what you get when your dad was a punk and your brother’s a DJ growing up in the LA area.

Elementary: video game/anime music, whatever rock my bro would be blasting at the time
1st year HS: Metal-- Megadeth, Dream Theater, Mastodon and stuff like Gorillaz. Rage Against the Machine was and always be my shit too.
2nd year HS: Alt rock-- Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Incubus, and hipster indie shit like Minus the Bear. Ugh. Some prog rock like Rush and Muse as well.
3rd year HS: More or less the same, but with some jazz rock and hip-hop here and there. I particularly liked Incubus’ S.C.I.E.N.C.E. album because it was this weird mix of jazz, trip-hop, and metal.
4th year HS: Getting more instrumental as I got better on guitar. Guthrie Govan, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, John Petrucci-- guitar virtuosos whom I admire greatly and ended up studying their music and technique to build chops on guitar. Nujabes was also indispensable for those year-end papers I had to do.
1st year and 2nd year college (now): More jazz and bebop like Joe Pass, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, etc. along with the guitar gods I mentioned. More fusion-y stuff from players like Greg Howe, Kaori Kobayashi, and Hiromi Uehara. In general, I’m starting to draw influences from sax and piano players for chops and music theory knowledge.

Yeah, I picked up the drums for band in HS; but didn’t take them seriously until my first year of college and have been taking them seriously ever since. Plus, @ my HS everyone and their mother played an instrument.

That being said, at HS i was opened up to a wide variety of sounds and never really took an advantage. I’ve been trying to self-teach the Violin, but it’s pretty difficult.

how do I get a chick to suck my dick in a movie theater without being like “bitch suck my dick”

I really dislike having to tell people how to do their damn job. shit is right in their face, a system does it for you. and these lazy ass broads and chumps still fuck it up and dump it on your lap.

the only thing worse than a stupid person is a person whose stupid and rude.

aite ill try this

@NonSexualRice my music taste has never changed.

for Hispanic music i stick to the musicians i grew up with. i can’t stand raegaeton and most of now’s Hispanic music.
oldies are a favorite.
i prefer and stick to older music of all genres i listen to.

i am only ‘current’ with techno /trance but still maintain my old favorites.

That’s actually pretty interesting. Which exactly?
