While rushdown is very strong keepaway/heavy zoning is getting people the furthest in tournaments. Many people are still running anchors that leave them without a great netural assist (Wesker and Vergil) which leaves them susceptible to any character who can put a lot of hitboxes on the screen.
With the introduction of the TAC “swag” combos and infinites TAC’s are becoming more used as they can lead to massive meter build and TOD’s off of situations that would not normally allow for said TOD’s
