UMvC3 Magneto Videos: Day minus[-] 3 Combo's

Standard Magneto corner combo into Vergil DHC does like 1million + anyways.

I made a small combo video of my Mags/Dok/Doom team with notations. I put a couple of Magneto combos at the beginning of the video (corner carry stuff)… nothing new, but you can really see the synergy the team has and it’s efficiency with meter.

Wow dude! i really like that team! Seems like a very strong team composition that avoids the usual issues with running MODOK on point (since he can get mauled by most of the top tier point characters)

Thanks! Personally, I love point MODOK if only for his control over the start of round shenanigans, though the ability to ToD off of any clean hit with Mags on point for half a meter is too good. Then you have to deal with incoming mixups with either Mags or Dok backed by missiles in the corner…

see now i want to practice tac infinites but the jlf in my arcade stick is malfunctioning >< anybody bothered to have notations for magneto’s tac infinites?

I dont know the up and side setups, but the down tac infinite setup is

[tac hit] xx L.HyperGrav > j.M [land] > [ j.HS xx addf j.M ] = repeat

was watching when shadyk was figuring out up tac and wrote it down
hyper GravH xx Fly H, ADDF H, ADF H, ADF H, unfly M UP HS…loop

Damn that raw tag Doom is sick haha, not even hard to do. Running Mags/Dorm/Doom so I don’t really get the luxury of the hypergrav extender or any assist extenders during the throw. Getting around 950-1m off a throw but -1.3~ meters.

Character specific? My Doom st.S seems to whiff on certain smaller characters

it does whiff on some.

The solution is to either wal forward slightly then st.M, or to st.H (tighter timing)

im pretty sure st. H doesnt work, at least it never has when i tried it. but i use the combo to reach 1 million damage off an throw, something i dont need on smaller characters(as they have less health). the one beefy character that i know it doesnt work on is frank west and possibly tron.

Magneto/Vergil/Missiles is sooooo much fun, but right now the guilty pleasure is (and has been) FChamps Mag/Dorm/Doom team
I like having Dormammu as a 2nd just a liiiiiitle better due to the TAC synergy and essentially putting up my feet on a desk once dorm gets going
Either way Mag/Dorm or Mag/vergil is all bullshit none the less and putting missiles behind it is all good

Nah, st.H works, you just need to do Magneto’s j.H>j.S differently and do Doom’s st.H really tight. It’s a 3 framer or so.

Im having troubles hitting Hulk with the dTAC infinite, is there an alternate method of setting it up from a dTAC?

you need to do dash > grav. But it’s a bitch to keep it going, I warn you. it’s really hard to land it on him, IMO.

yeah the infinite is a real real bitch vs Hulk. I don’t know if its worth it at all, at least vs him.

since one of you guys told.me about tatsu , I don’t understand why people don’t use it
