There could be many ways around this. More shots in the loop, delaying the shots after S, ETC. Don’t give up hope just because the exact variation might not work anymore.

I only got two games in today :frowning: Becuase I entered a SF x T tournament they were having that took all my time (I almost won too!)
All I can confirm/guess from 1st hand experience is-

V.Joes dodge move (down atk+S I think) is fully invincible but has end lag, but can be hyper canceled.
Ryu’s boost hyper, idk what it does besides make Shinkuu Hadoken reflect off walls. it also doesnt last very long…

Things that take practice are inherently complex since they require time poured into them to become proficient at them.

Zero’s forward airthrow knocks you down directly beneath him, making comboing after it easier.

Deadpool might have faster startup and projectile speed on all three of his guns cancel (shurikens, grenade and bolo)

Taskmaster is still more reliant on assists to open people up than Wesker. Wesker still has one frame command grab and H teleports to mix people up even without assists. Taskmaster isn’t landing much but a 1 frame regular throw on you without an assist unless you’re just garbage at blocking. Wesker’s mix up in general with or without assists is better than Task’s any ways and he’s generally a faster character with a still decent zone if he needs to zone.

I’d give this thread a couple of days before checking back as right now most people seem to be around stage 2 or 3. When they get to stages 4 and 5 they usually become much more reasonable to deal with.

I’d like to clarify something I said yesterday that was incorrect. Ghost Rider’s motorcycle does hit OTG if the tire is on the ground. Apparently hitting a button makes him pop a wheelie and mashing makes him jump the bike in the air at what looks like a 60 degree angle straight up and off screen. The reason to a pop a wheelie is to hit airborne opponents or to pop them up off the ground for DHCs.

Shoutouts to Dios X for blowing me up more than my fair share of times with crazy, crazy projectile lockdown. Laser spit + hidden missiles + whirlwind is damn near impossible to get around with certain characters!

As I’ve stated, I would’ve been content with a faster Hadouken (w/o the stupid charge) so that he could be a zoning type character much like his real SF counterpart. However I’m not going to say that these buffs doesn’t put a smile on my face, because Ryu hasn’t been good/strong in a Marvel vs Game since Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, and that game was ages ago.

Post that, in MvC1 he was powerful damage wise, but his speed was horrendous and then in MvC2, he’s hot garbage, and here in Vanilla MvC3. ChrisG is the only player on the planet who can make Ryu look like he’s Top-Tier because outside of that, 99.9% of everyone would rather choose Gouki over him.

With these modifications, it gives more incentive to play Ryu, however again, I really wished they would’ve focused to make Ryu a more zoning type character, and made Gouki more offensive, but I’m content because this is definitely one of largest list of upgrades I’ve ever seen for a Ryu transition.

@ around 14:00, the player uses sent drones and they seem to still have gaps between the hits. They do look like they move faster though.

Taskmaster also does outrageous chip. And has ToD combos that net meter when he does hit. Wesker isn’t one touching anyone without x-factor, a level 3 or both. I think they’re both fine with the health they have right now, and will be significantly worse with less. They’re probably the two characters in the game I would completely ignore during a re-balance. They have just the right kind and right level of bullshit. You drop Wesker to Dante HP, and I just honestly don’t really see any reason to use him over Felicia at all at that point.

None of that changes the fact that there is ZERO reason for taskmaster to have the health he does (or the move properties he does, or the chip damage he does, or…) and it should have been nerfed

He received a health buff and can throw three lances now. His j.S falls faster making it easier for him to combo

can anyone tell me the nerfs dante and wesker received? also, anything on trish? i personally felt she was real solid in og mvc3 but since most people slept on her coupled with the fact that she wasn’t really prominant in tournaments leads to believe that they’ll pull an fei-long on trish :slight_smile:
