Launch before you get to the carpet? Use one of the tons of moves that go through it?
That move barely gives you a combo if the other person is aware of it. No need for that nerf imo, keepaway is hardly a strong tactic in this game save for a few characters.
Good. I’ve never been a fan of getting hit mid combo for no reason. Same reason why assists shouldn’t still attack if the point character is getting hit.
It’s bullshit that I should have to stop doing my combo because Dorm did a flame Carpet five minutes ago. I already have a rough time getting in on him, I shouldn’t get knocked out of my combo when I finally get there.
As for Hsien Ko buffs, people are saying she’s faster. Haven’t seen it with my own two eyes yet though.
Lets face it, even without flame carpet, hsien ko is gonna lose that match.
If people see it they should just launch before they run into it. The whole purpose of the move was as a defensive backup to make his zoning a bit safer. Now if I miss a dark hole or pillar you can just go LOL and hit me with a jump in. I haven’t noticed flame carpet being a problem in competitive play so I don’t know why they’d do that. Can they make it so drones and hidden missiles go away if we hit the point character too?
Hidden Missiles is indeed worse. That move/assist is a guranteed c-c-combo breaker. Get rid of that too I say, have the missiles disappear if the point character/Doom get hit. Sentinel drones too. Getting hit by ancillary shit while YOU’RE the one hitting the opponent is just straight up retarded, in all circumstances.
Hidden missles when used on point by Doom is easy to deal with. It’s an uncancellable attack with terrible recovery. Just throw him or command grab him and no more worrying about hidden missles. Hidden missles assist is retarded…but it’s supposed to be because Doom is the “all beast assists” character. Just like Sentinel though…Doom is completely vulnerable during the entire time he’s shooting the missles unlike Haggar lariat where you have to wait through this elongated invincibility period before you can smack off his health. Best bet is just to try and rushdown or snipe out the missles so you can limit the amount of missles that fall back down and keep taking health from Doom till it becomes more unsafe to call him.
