New change:

I just saw Capt America double jump on the SDCC stream

There’s a chance Zero’s D-Loop may no longer work. There was a player on the stream attempting it and the opponent fell out after the first relaunch. It may have just been the player, but the D-Loop is a really easy combo… so, I’m skeptical. Still haven’t seen if buster shot can extend combos anymore or not.

On stream just now pretty sure I saw Gustaff Fire assist get punished to hell and back.

This assumes the rest of the cast stays exactly the same relative to Viper, and still, no.

Execution and priority were reasons Viper wasn’t America’s Most Wanted far more than meter was.

So assist can be pushblocked now, that’s what you are saying, just to clarify?

I’ll give you the “everything else staying the same” part, but c’mon. Yeah, execution was the thing. but if EX seismos cost 1/4, it would no longer BE the thing. Im sayin, all other things considered, yeah, she’d be broken to the cheap power.

Meh double jump doesn’t really do much IMO. Game is ground based compared to MVC2 any way and jumping too much gets you blown up by the air throws. Captain will probably get a few more juggle opportunities without assists but his damage with assists is already good enough.

Has there been any Hsien-Ko play on the stream? Or will everyone refuse to play her? I can’t watch from where I am.

I wonder if anything changed with MODOK. His depths were barely plumbed, so I doubt it.

It seems that Tron’s jump H has been nerfed…
I saw someone on the stream using her and whenever it connected it put them far out of range to hit a normal, it looked like only her drill could reach.
Also gustaff fire sucks now, but I could see that coming. The jump H thing just seems unnecessary.

Why?

Since air X-factor is being introduced, I’m sure a bit more air mobility/options couldn’t hurt.

Ah, good thing I get a second opinion on this.

Tron’s drills seem to be improved, less recovery but that’s probably not enough to make up for what she has lost.

Although on Tron’s jumping H is on the insane side. That thing is the automatic quicker mover stuffer. I may have had problems with it just because it was the first time I played against it though.

Anything on Zero’s normals yet? He can bully a good chunk of the cast with them without much repercussion.

If that’s the case, j.H>drill is the obvious approach for tron, which really only says combos from j.H are just slightly capped in damage.

Where is this stream? On capcom unity they are streaming ashuras wrath right now, marvel in a few hours I think.

Here I was hoping Tron would get buffed on point. The gustaff fire was justifiable, but nerfing her best approach like that? She already has enough trouble getting in on some characters.

True but unless he gets an air dash on top of that it’s not going to hurl him up the tiers or nothing. Captain getting better pretty much revolves around people building teams that actually revolve around completing Captain as a character like the developers intended instead of doing random ass shit like adding Ryu and random whoever else you like to him. That and generally just getting more comfortable with the tools he has.
