Could you elaborate on the Dead Angle/usefulness of the TK assist?

I’m just curious of the potential of this specific assist (since seismo assist is obviously otg purposes and burning for overhead)

Gottnoskill wrote a detailed thing in DevilJin’s assist thread. The gist of it is, that when you use TK as a CrossOver Counter, it get’s alot of invul, and you can feint it out on hit and go into a substantial combo. So you can kill someone through guardstun. It’s no perfect by any stretch, but I like it in a few matchups when characters have really laggy attacks or similar things. e.g.- blow through sentinal’s S or Ammy’s 6CCCCC.

Also, the BK assist, just like a normal air BK, has a shit ton of untech time, I’ve been using it to help relaunch recently much more than mixup.

Why does Viper have an optic blast now?

Because there are alot of naive people running around saying she’s C tier…

They probably gave her the optic blast so she can be played on multiple skill levels. Seismo spam definitely isn’t seen in low level play, but EM disruptor/unibeam/whirlwind/plasma beam most likely is.

The new trailer they just released shows the viper beam has good durability, also it gives Viper some full screen zoning ability where her siesmos don’t reach…

You got to shotgun those inputs in SSF4. In MvC3 its rapid fire. Good thing i diddn’t play SSF4 Viper for long.

This is one of the reasons I’m glad I don’t play Viper in SF4.

As for Viper’s beam - if that’s the result of the Nits and Neo feeling she’s C-tier, then they can continue thinking that. Give us a Psycho Crusher too.

I dont have much of a problem going from SF4 rapid seismoing to MvC3 seismoing.

Next thing we know they’ll give her a reverse DP S for flight mode and thus infinite air dashes while in it. She would give a whole new meaning to flashy as funk if she could though.

do you think the beam is like zeros buster charge where you hold down the buttons and charge it. so you can charge the beam while moving

I still dunno how much better Optic Blast will make Viper. Seems like it has its definate uses but it doesn’t seem to be close to her other tools that make her as good as she is.

i’m looking for Ray Finkle… and after thinking about that, a clean pair of shorts.

I doubt it, optic blast looks like it has way to much recovery to pick up afterwards.

Also, I think optic blast is medium priority (most all projectiles have light priority), because when it hit, it didn’t really clash with phoenix’s salty balls like a regular beam would.

Since capcom thinks viper needs help, giver an air super, just so she can DHC in the air. I was in training mode and I was playing with some dirty setups that become totally unreversible if we had one o’ thems.
