UMvC3 General Discussion: You can't control it

Yeah that was my guess for the fourth one too but I can’t find any goddam pictures to confirm.

Also good call on Odin, definitely a possibility but it’s so hard to know for sure. He looks different every time he appears in anything.

EDIT: Alright I think she’s Myria from BoFIII maybe.

Third one is Fou Lu, from Breath of Fire 4.

LOL at Frank somehow being derp. Knee drops can easily be punished if you let it whiff, and rolls can get predictable if you just spam them. They hardly dominate opponents anyway.

it’s the goddess myria from the bof series

First one is Ulik, he is a thor villain. The last one is the serpent, main villain of the fear itself event.

It’s not even that it’s a very effective derp strategy, it’s just that I’m disappointed with how derpy people are making him online. It’s like online Dantes who spam teleport and/or j.S. It doesn’t work, but it’s really a shame to see a character I like be reduced to King Derp.

Out of the new guys I see Rocket Raccoon and Dr Strange the least. Speaking of Dr Strange I think I need a teleporter on my team that’s tricky or has a mean rushdown game

Yeah I actually like Wesker a lot as a character in Resident Evil. Was going to be on my team before vanilla came out, or so I thought. Viper Dante and Wesker are probably my favorite characters on the Capcom side. I use Dante and Viper now but…Wesker is too stupid. I hate braindead characters.

Oh well. LIFELESS CORPSE AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Funny thing is, I remember seeing Wesker’s character art and thinking, “Oh, hey, Wesker’s in this game. He’ll probably be a high-execution and very technical but rewarding rushdown and mixup character with his moves from Mercenaries.”

Well, I got 2/3 of it right.

Oh yea the execution isn’t difficult, I taught my 12 year old little sister how to pull of a basic sesame street combo in like 5 minutes. Then it was time to actually play and she was like “bleh” shit is just too fast for her young mind.

Ha! Now that I think back a lot of people speculated he’d be a very technical, high execution character. I see what they were thinking. It would have fit the character’s nature.

its possible to call assist during command normals right?

At first, I was a little sad to see Wesker get reduced to being simple. Then I realized that if they had made him super-technical, they’d lose a large portion of the game’s audience.

Based on his home series, I thought Joe would also be a rushdown character (I hadn’t played TvC). I still find it weird that he’s a semi-zoner/agitator-type character.

Yep

Oh god I remember when Vanilla was launched I saw lots of people saying “Wesker is a pro character only. Hard to use, difficult to learn, high damage, can’t spam and little to no projectiles! Not a noob character!”

GOOD TIMES

remember when people thought Ammy sucked because “she was just a dog”? Or how Taskmaster was bad “because he was so slow”? Best thing was when people thought Arthur was top tier.

I wish he was.

Well my team: Cabeza de fuego is complete.

I called Wesker a “technical” character before Vanilla came out.

Dunno, I always thought that “derp” meant simple-yet-stupidly-effective strategies, not just braindead play in general.
