BTW, does anybody else like how Capcom gave us a snow stage to pick against all in black teams?

Lol try teaching a new player how to use feint canceling to set up cross-ups, tricky overheads, and negate push-block. Then try to teach a new player how to put it all together into her feint loop combos.

Funny story, when I first picked up vanilla (it was my first capcom fighters game) I always used Wolverine despite planning on maining Amaterasu, Zero, Arthur, Wesker and Taskmaster. Actually at that time I was awe’d by Wesker’s BnB combo and always wished I could do it lmao.

I’m kind of amazed how far I’ve gotten, maining Spider-Man, Amaterasu, Skrull, Taskmaster and Dormammu despite how difficult they can be to learn. (Task being the exception, who is hilariously enough my worst of the characters I listed lmao.) Motions (yes including reverse DP, thanks Spidey!) aren’t a problem for me anymore.

i fight alot of teams featuring dante, vergil, wesker online. fortunately most are ass with them anyway. and all the striders i faced were complete trash. they don’t even know how to combo into otg legion properly. i did face 1 good firebrand though.

I’m gonna lab it up for about a week without playing online. I feel like I jumped online too fast with my new Zero Vergil Strider team. Need to actually learn these characters.

Also, has anyone been using that silly down TAC glitch when you catch an assist? It’s too funny and does a ton of damage.

Vergil isn’t anywhere as good as Dante right now and he’s really not THAT easy to use against someone who knows how to block since all of his moves lag like shit. Wesker, I can see a case for bitching about because you can have arthritis and only one hand and still play him at 100%.

Wesker’s still not annoying as two wrong TAC guesses into TOD. Dumbest shit in this game.

Idk about you but I see allot of Weskers online. All of whom’s general strategy is Assist -> Gunshot -> Teleport, confusion, free combo, death. Having Wesker and Vergil on a team is a dread force to be recokned with. Wesker with Rapid Slash? Vergil with a better OTG? New BFF?

Thankfully if you can punish teleports pretty good you “should” be fine.

Looks like I did a wrong job on trying to display the irony. Wesker is clearly the dumbest character left.

Even if I couldn’t get the game myself yet, I’ve been watching many lobbies on the internet, and Wesker is ahead most of the times. Eventually Wesker should get nerfed, though, after all, they did nerf Sentinel which wasn’t that much of a treat compared to him and Wolverine.

If you’re a Wesker player, you should probably be worried about how much he’s being used online right now. As someone brought up in another thread, it was Sentinel’s extreme overuse online that lead to him getting crushed with the nerf bat. If Wesker maintains his current level of popularity, it really wouldn’t be surprising if he ended up losing something massive in response (200k hp, more delay on teleport, even more nerfed gunshot/etc) Wesker doesn’t necessarily need to be nerfed, but Capcom might do it if they feel he’s untuned for the effort (note: Sentinel didn’t necessarily need the massive nerf he had either, so there’s definitely precedent.)

I doubt it was sentinel being popular that lead to him being nerf, it was sentinel being bullshit that lead to him being nerfed. This is coming from someone who plays sentinel, sent deserved to get nerfed, if he hadn’t been nerfed he would literally be on every single team now, there was no reason not to play sentinel, high damage, high health, amazing assist, versatility, high meter building combos, amazing use of meter, high meterless damage, everyone and their mother woulda played sentinel. Now do I think he deserved to be nerfed that hard? Definitely not, but that brother didn’t need 1.3 million points of health.

I have a particular special kind of hatred for Vergil. Mainly because I play rocket raccoon, modok and Sentinel. Sumbitch hits me a mile away.
I will say this though if I have problems against a scrubs team…it’s because of Virgil. In all honesty, cover his shit and he’s pretty derp.

Has anyone picked up Shuma? You guys know he’s one of the best batteries in the game. I get a shit ton of meter every time I pull a combo. Also since he can kara-dash now he’s much more mobile, also he has TWO instant overheads!

Just got through playin’ online and I have to say, I’m impressed. It’s still not as good as offline, but that’s a given. The slowness is there, but it’s not really laggy. Good first experience with this. Anyway, how’s everyone been? Your day one teams workin’ out as well as you thought, or have you made some minor tweaks here an’ there? I know I have.
