Finally got UMVC3 and man, I have to admit some of those nerfs people were crying about seem grossly blown out of proportion.
The only thing that legit bothers me besides Wesker and his nasty voice is X-Factor when activated (on the character) - itās going to be terrible when I have mirror matches.
I dread whatever changes may come to Vergil in the future. Heās way too much fun right now and his damage is ridiculous, so heās gotta get nerfed at some point down the line.
Though, Iām wondering if any of you guys might have a recommendation of character to play on point for my team of Wesker and Vergil. Iāve tried some of the older characters like Dante and Morrigan, along with Nemesis and Ghost Rider, but things just donāt seem to work. Any suggestions?
Iām trying to play Vergil now. I donāt really like it. Heās nowhere near as fun as Dante was and it just doesnāt feel right for some reason.
I REALLY doubt Vergil is gonna be nerfed. Yes, heās one of the strongest of the new character and heās really good, but heās not broken. I expect over time people will start discovering new tech against him since everyone sort of play the same with him, Iāll probably be wrong. Regardless, heās not Vanilla Wolverine broken or Wesker good.

Perhaps nerfed was the wrong word. I dread any changes that may come to him, unless theyāre making his normals safer. Oh well, game just came out, not gonna worry about it yet.

This game has THE best special conversations/intros in the history of fighting games. There is no competition.
In the lab I discovered that Shuma can now continuously dash kara cancel! what an awesome buff. The dude is 100% more mobile.
Also since his dash height is so low, his hitbox has decreased to arthurās size. Man oh MAN this is great!

Shumaās Mystic Ray is a great assist, Nemesis however is a much better character/anchorā¦

Well Shuma got a truckload of buffs and my new dash technique solves his mobility issue on the ground. He moves about the same speed as Arthurās daggers
