Well I just got the game, having a lot of fun mostly cause of Vergil. Dante…im kind of mad for, Ive never missed so much basic stuff. Like if you don’t do the specific BC combo everything else will miss lol.
Also as I expected, I freaking hate TAC"s, cant believe they put such a luck system in a FIGHTING GAME of all things, hate it more than X-factor lol. They made it so much better so now its a complete guess, before most would go for UP or DOWN, but its all good. /stay salty lol
I actually fought a pretty good Zero, Nova, Doom team (I was running my Doom, Hawkeye, Strider team) and the guy was scared of my Doom team (lost the set 11-6 after switching from my Wright, Ghost Rider, Nemesis team). Why the fuck did they even give Zero ANY buffs to begins with!!! Dude was fucking annoying enough as it already was, but this?! I don’t even…
Nova I can see being good at first until tech with the new (and some of the older characters) begins to surface. Then Nova will start to become useless. The only combos I’ve seen with Nova was Magic Series -> Overhead Slam -> Magic Series -> Supernova. I have yet to see a decent jaw-dropping combo with Nova that makes me think otherwise. (Also ran into a Nova spamming Energy Javelin. It was SOOO much fun to shut him down with several Insta-Arrows by Hawkeye)
And despite what other people may think, Doom isn’t someone you can just pick up and pray that you win with (like Wolverine in Vanilla). He still has a high learning curve, and it shows. You need to learn his loops, relaunches, crossups, how to make moves safe, etc. (Many of these aren’t very hard while others are a nightmare to learn). Ran into several people who I know are trying to pick up Doom just because he got nothing but buffs and are getting bodied like no tomorrow (and I still drop Doom’s combos alot).
Don’t have the game, but I’m curious about something. Part of the problem with Frank is that if you take a drink you’ll end up vomiting 10 seconds later, but I’m pretty sure that for his taunt he takes a drink of water. Can anyone test whether or not drinking water after taking a swig will cancel the vomiting effect?

Although I remember Zero being used by tons of our kind too, even though barely anyone who plays Zero online can actually use him.
