UMvC3 General Discussion: You can't control it

Random question: should I keep this new avatar? I kind of miss Gwonam and the feeling he gives my posts.

Anyone considering buying the Vita and UMvC3 for it? I just got a 3DS recently but I gotta admit, there are countless times where I want to try out a combo but have to wait hours till I get home. And we all know Mahvel’s matches are pretty fast so getting 3 or so matches in during a 15min break at work would be fun.

probably, i play on pad so i suppose using the vita controls won’t be that difficult for me
although i feel like i already play too much and this would just add to that

i understand his items are random and he doens’t have that many but how did they both get 5 items the same.

i almost wish the blue one would have thrown an item away too to see if their odds were really that in favor or if he has a predetermined order of items per match.

You get a certain “Set” of evidence depending on an ingame clock.
Like how hsien-kos items are.

Youll notice that you often get a lot of good evidence/meat in a row and a lot of bad evicence in a row.

Oh lawd, everytime I jump into ranked match in this game I regret it badly.
Has anyone had good experiences with ranked even for shits and giggles or just sticking to player matches with friends (and offline of course)?

Pretty much this. They’re both terrible, but Hsien-Ko has a few okay matchups where she can anti-zone and has that okay assist. Tron doesn’t really have anything.

She’s still better in actual play than Phoenix -Fans will fan- Wright.

That’s true. Didnt think about that till now. I mean, XF would be easy since it’d just be pressing the face buttons but it would be weird/hard to wavedash. Just thought of something else. Holding charge moves like Zero’s buster and Vergil’s Round Trip while doing combos would be pretty hard as well.

Maybe you can use the rear touch pad like a faux-trigger?
That would be a shame if they didn’t allow you to map inputs to the back, though I don’t recall seeing that in that newest demonstration video so I don’t have my hopes up.

Play Wesker/Wolverine/Sentinel. Problem solved.

I use R2 for L+M+H. If I want to air-dash or wavedash, I use it. If I want to X-Factor, I press it with X at the same time. That leaves the L2 for jab to charge the Round Trip.

Actually, nevermind, you were talking about the Vita. So I can’t say much since I dunno the design.
