Problem, projectile users? NYEEEHHHH!!!
Lol, I know what you mean. We all have a gameplan, but it seems that especially vs Taskmaster and Wesker we like to forget everything we know
Using Iron Fist(y)/Strider(y)/Vergil(y). The team dynamics arenāt really that good (I just threw them together), so itās hard to control the screen. My main problem with Tasky is his āswing factorā itās really hard to catch a whiff on him and since you can tech out of recovery, he gets a lot of milage out of H mash.
Taskmaster is the true jack of all trades in this game IMO, he play seemingly equal rushdown and keepaway (Both of which heās very good at) and dat damageā¦
Another thing that is really sick about Taskmaster is dat c.:l:. That normal is so godlike.
Your team is good but it is in the wrong order.
Try Vergil/Iron Fist/Strider. You should have a lot more success. Use Dragon Fang to control space and hit confirm into long combos with Vergil. Iron Fistās assist is great but hes not a good anchor, so have him second. Vajira makes both of your characters better, and Vergil can convert a Vajira into an OTG-> Super/Reset, and Iron Fist can convert a Vajira into a full OTG -> Combo. Plus you can use Vajira to apply pressure to your opponents, going for high/lows with Fistās overhead and low pokes, plus the ability to ground opponents who run from him with Vajira and get through advancing guard with his rekka strings.
I agree, although I feel like heās always been that way. He can go anywhere on the team and work well.
You just reminded me, I have to watch your Nemesis vid to learn his tech before i run into a good one (or youo_O). Knowing is the half the battle.
Unfortunately this is so true. Iāll be playing against Wesker and forget everything, then when I get a lucky hit, I forget my combo:(
Using stingmaster after a blocked shield skills is also really godlike i believe its safe on block(need to check in the guide). It can also catch oppnents pressing buttons itāll lead to free hyper most of the time love that move! Caught a few people with that todayā¦
This is true, one opponent liked using stingmaster after shield skills so I started advance guarding his shield skills and punishing string master, takes reactions and good normals to do so, because if you use a hyper he can counter yours with his Secret Move.
I think you mean videos there will be allot more where that came from !
omg dat pro weker avi i want ooooooooooooone
I was reading on the Task forums that itās best to mix doing that with his old method of using arrows after a shield skills. Do you find this to be true?
Nah, itās just that Task knows ya moves and can see through that.
Yeah, you can set up some nice tick throw stuff with that.
I know who Che Guevara is. Iām an Argentinian, he was born in my country.
I was joking about this T-shirt.
Like pkskyler said once your opponent catches on and advances guard at the proper time itāll leave you with a whiff stingmaster. I personally have never been punished but i do agree with what has been said in the taskmaster forums by other players. Mixin it up with arrows and stingmaster if your oppenent just guards i find it better to go with stingmaster if they advance guard just shoot arrows making u safe. Just checked the guide stingmaster is minus 3 on block im not really good with frame data but in marvel land its pretty safe isnāt?
Nothing ruins a good joke like having to explain it ><
You would think that Rekka stuff would work but in practice, it doesnāt work at all. As soon as some one push blocks IF itās either up back or swing highest priority normal. Iāve run into so many half screen normals that now I just do a few stagger strings to get counter hits, or go for tic throws. While Vajra is great for IF it doesnāt provide enough blockstun to do mixups, and itās very risky to call out because IF canāt protect Strider.
I have thought about shifting the order because itās way easier to get things go with the other two characters. I really wanna play IF on point though so I guess Iām a bit stubborn lol. Although, I think playing him on point has most definitely helped me get better on a fundamental level. When you canāt default to air dash normal or teleports, you really become aware of where to pick you spots when attacking.
Will definitely take the advice on board though.
Thats why you need your homie Strider raining down on them from the sky, locking them down. My friend plays Iron Fist and hes really a mess to deal with once hes on you+ an assist (he likes using Akuma Tatsuā¦ANNOYING!) You can protect him well, too. You need to learn the right strings that negate pushblocking for longer and call strider during them.
Counter hitting is great, and throwing them is too. Both lead to combos.
Thats good in a certain way, I mean thats how Justin Wong plays him but he has 2 good assists helping him ussually. I really feel his best spot is 2nd as he gets to use his assist and still have one helping him.
Yeah, just another viewpoint. Do what works for you.
Donāt forget, they have assists too. But yeah, advance guard strings is next on the list to practice. Just need to minimize the risk of getting hit because people keep pressing buttons.
Nyx was so bad (to me) ESPECIALLY THE ENDING. just read the x-23 mini series and the (now cancelled) x-23 comic, watch x-men evolution(its where shes from and its my favorite x-men animated series i would have died and killed to have had seen the dark phoenix saga in evolution)
[details=Spoiler]
[/details] best alternate costume for her that doesnāt exist.
they made her REALLY pretty in the x-23 series, good art to me.
also every panel on this fight stick
But unless its Gold Hsien-Ko or Turnabout Wright, you donāt gotta worry too much bout their assists once youāre in there
You COULD look at one of those characters, or Hulk or someone, as an assist to help you get through mashersā¦
