Oh man, I think Iām in love with Frank West. Heās really damn fun to play as.
Iām also enjoying Zero now that his Color 6 goes so well with Feliciaās Color 1 and Danteās Color 3. (Yes, color co-ordination does affect my play, for some reasonā¦) Yet, Iām still probably going to be rocking Taskmaster for the foreseeable future, considering I need a good zone man and it might take me a while to get used to Hawkeye ā¦ and even longer to get used to Wright and Rocket, who I also want to play.
Even as much as I love Dante for being so damn fun, I might have to go with his more narrow-focused brother down the road.
Man, even with the majority of the new characters not really interesting me, enough older characters got buffs (even if they were buffs more to their style than substance) that itās giving me an identity crisis on infinite earths when Iām at the character select screen. Iām even considering going back to my original team of Haggar/Arthur/Felicia. Shit, even with Morriganās horrible nerfs, Iām seeing that meter-gain might actually make her necessary if I want to pull off all those meter-hungry combos again.

Hey everyone! I went into training mode to try all the new characters, they are so fun! Firebrand is gonna be MODOK tier, he is so hard to control and figure out, nemesis has some crazy stuff, and hawkeye can easy combo off throws :O! Also RR isnt that hard to combo with, but you have to press all the buttons like mega fast.
sad thing is that im suposed to be available to purchase the game today

More general thoughts on the game:
The PS3 installation took forever, I was pretty salty about it.
The new UI is fucking terrible and I honestly donāt know what they possibly could have been thinking other than when they re-release Marvel 3 again, changing the UI will encourage people to buy the game.
Rocket Raccoon is very awkward, his movement and his combo chains, log trap isnāt that good either.
Nemesis is easy mode, but I can see him actually being viable down the road.
Skrull got surprisingly better, not way better, but, safe to say isnāt bottom 10 anymore. Stone Dunk is huge.
XF isnāt nearly as broken as it was, itās shorter, and because of the damage scaling change in XF and other tweaks my 9 year old god-brother canāt CKC me anymore.
**Mashing is stupid, and I hate it, Iām a pad player, itās not that hard to get to the max damage, but I feel like an idiot mashing, itās unnecessary and it doesnāt bring about anymore hype. **

I know the feeling. Although here, itās Tekken 6 instead of SF4. Too bad Iām not a Tekken fan.
Iām going to bring Ultimate Marvel to the tourney on Friday. Even though none of the people there can play worth a damn, at least Iāll have fun playing Firebrand offline against real people.
Yeah the x-factor length looked long in videos, but itās really noticeable how short it is when youāre actually playing. You can actually run away from someone with XF3 now and not feel like youāre on a 3 day long chase.
Mashing was fine when we were at the arcades.
And we werenāt paying for the buttons and sticks.
You know, it was somebody elseās problem.
Now, itās our problem. Now when our buttons die, weāre the ones that have to pony up that cash. I mean, shit, Iām use a PS2-to-PS3/360 adapter (Thank you, eTokki!) to play with Nuby Tech SF Anniversary Controllers that arenāt even made anymore. Iāve already killed Ryu and Ken thanks to all the years I put into them (one of them actually died while playing MvC2 on the PS3, surprise surpriseā¦), all Iāve got left is my Chun Li.
Personally, I think itās all a conspiracy by MadCatz. They just wanna sell more controllers.
I was facing some dude just now running log trap assist and I was avoiding that junk all day, talk about overrated
And I think RR will end up like Joe pretty much. A few guys will pick him up and do interesting stuff but heāll get mostly ignored because heās mad awkward
