Well Max showed a video where doing a Cross Art with Lili to Bob does like 50% but doing a Cross Art of Bob to Lili does like 30% maybe…at least I think it was Bob, maybe it was Steve. That’s what I mean by damage scaling, also guys like Kazuya who hit like tanks are probably better on point in regards to maximizes your damage, but game isn’t out yet so who knows.
You need synergy in the sense that having two grapplers against ibuki and like juri you’ll never get in as either character and neither will build meter for the other.
Its more of a merge of sf and vs games short combos but longer than mp, crmp thunderknuckle for optimal damage.
I’m trying not to say too much because even though it feels like sf it isnt

If you are used to sf’s style quite a few of the tekken characters will provide a learning curve as a majority of their move lists are like sf4s target combos

I really havent explored the game enough to give an over arching opinion. Everything is mostly positive. I haven’t forayed into gems as I’m still working on playing as the cast.

Yeah I understand that (it was Lili and Steve vs Bob) but at the same time, that was if you just did a Cross Art (only using 2 hits or just going into it). So while I can see where you’re coming from if you used a CA to punish or hitconfirmed with one or two hits…

Basically, this isnt Mahvel. This is 1v1 fights with the ability to switch out (no assists). While partners do affect your team CA dmg and overall dmg of tag combos, the match itself depends on how well you know your characters by themselves and your knowledge of the game (footsies, AAs, etc). I feel as though there’ll be synergy but not as badly needed as MvC3.
Oh well in that regard yeah, like I was saying there is SOME synergy and as Theautophobia said it might be good for matchups too. With no assists to cover character weaknesses matchups are even more important…man fuck I want to play this game it sounds like such less bullshit than Marvel.

dude, the poison hugo trailer has been the hypest one since release. Dat song, those moves, dat ass, and of course the two BAMFS that come out at the end, all chill n shit…man I seriously cant wait, I’m gonna rock Cody/Guy so hard, thats a man’s Ryu/Ken.
Dang I was hoping it was like Juri’s, oh well I’ll still take it. Lili is one of the few ladies in SFIV artstyle that doesn’t look horrendous, she still has the typical SFIV man hands though but that’s minor.
