Nope. Easiest way to get “new” characters in the game. They’ve already started the trend with Zero/X.
New skins, a few voice overs and winning quotes would be a fun add-on.

Okay, apparently there is actually still some intrest in this thread. I’ll start off by justifying one character who truly needs to be in this game.
Dudley (Street Fighter 3)
Let’s face it: Iron Fist is possibly one of the easiest match-ups in the game for almost the entire cast. Because he:

[]Has no way around projectiles
[]Lack of an anti-air
[]Bad options in the air
[/LIST]
Dudley, however, has a move that dashes directly through projectiles. He also has a dragon punch and effective normals in the air. He also has some insane assist potential in machine gun blow, victory rose, and jet upper. He also would be an awnser to the fans who complain about a lack of black characters (poor, poor lonely Storm).
Some people may argue that a random boxer from Street Fighter would lack the required amount of cheapness for this game. He has:

[]Machine Gun Blow-Kind of like Tatsu, except you get locked in place
[]Short Swing Blow-Throw invincible punch (would probably get fully invincible frames)
[]Cross Counter-Counter that leaves Dudley invincible during the long range punch he follows up with
[]Victory Rose- A unblockable, sort of tracking projectile. What else needs to be said?
[]Various Juggles-Combos were a big gimmick for him in SF4. Who knows what he could do in this game?

My 8 (somewhat reasonable wishlist version):
Marvel: Juggernaut (let his color pallet take care of his recent comics predicament, er…um…Colosonaut), Venom (let his color pallet take care of everyone’s fiddly nonsense over which person the damned suit co-occupies), Squirrel Girl, and the Fantastic 4 (as one character, like Captain Commando).
Capcom: Jin, Son-Son, Gene and Original Jill Valentine (highly unlikely)
I finally bought this game, since SFxTK is quite a disappointing for me (where’s balance?) though I play offline quite a lot. I guess it will arrive next week.
I don’t really like all the new characters (the initial roster is quite amazing I would say), Can’t comprehend why no new females, at least on the Marvel side. I would have included Ms. Marvel over Raccoon, he/it seems like a waste of a slot. But overall, seems like a solid roster and a fun game. We’ll see.
The game already had tons of girls with powers and zero space raccoons. Ms.Marvel would be more of a “waste of a spot”

Personally, I was among those that voted for Gene, Thanos, and Roll, but one character pairing I’d really like to see is Cloak and Dagger. Granted, I’m just a fan of the whole ‘Light/Darkness power’ bit. Another character I would love to see for Capcom’s side is Fou-Lu from BOF4. He’d have the abilities of Ryu from the same game but without the name confusion and he serves as a godlike villain on capcom’s side too.

I really dont understand, Capcom, they can say all these excuses about moveset, potential, but thats absolute bullcrap. Arthur was in 2 games and only threw spears,knives, etc. MMx was in 9 games and classic was in even more.

I’ve long wanted Capcom to do Cloak & Dagger as one character that takes two slots. They’d have a couple advantages such as ground exchange combos and things like that. I had a bunch of ideas that I’ve forgotten, but my original post somewhere in the pre-release hype thread. Yea, try finding it in there.

PS: Don’t include any Megaman in this game, put Roll instead, she’s cool.
