Test HCS against Chris’ grenade super and Zero’s level 3, genmu zero. Cap can’t go through them with HCS despite them being projectiles.
Please test a simple L,M,H,S, M,M,H,S combo in the corner THEN BACKDASH and then do the OTG shield slash . . … after the OTG please try to dash in and do any normal (Preferably S) to see if it will connect. If not just try to to a charging star.

i played a little bit of cap today the basic launcher mml shield slash land jump l shield slash seamed to work…im going back tommorow so ill play a little more with him
sooo…i didnt get to go in with Cap as much as I wanted, but I got a bit of action in with that new OTG, won a match on the Big screen w/ that and it was pretty epic. Im there for press reasons so i gotta dedicate time to other games, but i can guarantee videos and impressions by the end of comic con. Sunday might be the best day since by then it will be a lot slower.
First day impressions tho, i like this new Cap, still gotta explore a bit more tho

I see you tried the OTG relaunch i was talking about. . … make sure when you do the backdash you are atleast half screen away, then throw the light Shield slash. You should recover in time to launch again. Thanks for all your help!
oooh ok, i got you. That way the shield comes back and hits that second time. Ill give it a try if i get the opp, but the way its set up, its kinda frustrating. Ill do my best tho…FOR FREEDOM! (O_o)

how about just test in midscreen if the shield hits on the way back. I don’t know if that even works.
I am so hyped for CAP…he kinda keeps his combos then gets more tricks up his sleeve.
For the posts a couple posts back, lets be honest cap doesn’t have a high low game at all. Against every strong player jump forward down+H is not a mix up unless your assist is strongly present, the only possible high low he has is jdown+H/jdown+H feint low covered by assist, and compared to every character with a tri dash it’s a joke to block.
What’s a better argument is that he doesn’t need it, and instead runs grappler mix up. Low/grab. Having some of the best blockstrings, between having phenomenal gatlings, a jab that gatlings on whiff to jab and crouch light and some of the most resettable solitary pressure with shield slash to mitigate push block all means he is capable of running legitimate frame traps solo with some of the best super-flash choices against another solo character, between hyper star and stars and stripes. He’s a hard beast to tackle safely, which is what you want in an anchor.
I’ve seen l.shield slash 2 hit mid screen so it should work barring HSD restrictions.
just remember if you’re going to do some of the “relaunch” stuff like that shield slashes DO have hitstun scaling so it won’t work QUITE so well as it might seem - not trying to be a downer, just sayin 
hey guys. sadly i didnt get any more video, but i got a lot more hands on w/ Cap, and i tried doing it mid screen, but i couldnt get it to work, but i blame it mostly on playing in less than optimal conditions for training mode. I think it will be possible but honestly, i had a hard time testing things out because most of the time i played, i was just trying to win.
That said, i love this new Cap, and i think everyone should enjoy him. He was pretty popular as well, saw a few people doing a lot w/ him. It was fun tho, next month cant come any sooner.
People will finally learn why Steve is called the First Avenger. I can’t wait to start seeing and performing double jump combos.
Side Note; I’m SOOO hype for the Avengers, the trailer was hype and his outfit looks sick. Cap’s movie is coming out next week. Get hype.
