about how I think many gamers have an extra hardship playing (U)MVC3 based on their specific team.
This is based on my published paper where I talk about the different arch types of fighting games.
The point is that if you are new to the game, you really should try having a character that is unique, don’t have 2 characters of the same arch type, and and its usually better to have a spread of characters.
Props to you for taking the time to try and better the community/helping the noobs. But honestly dude I’m not sure if you are that seasoned at umvc3 based on your “guide”. If you are new at umvc I strongly reccommend people check out the character sub forums here on srk. Or if you want to be spoon feed, take a look at the umvc3 guide that is linked via the srk homepage.
I been one of the top ladder player in the world of mvc2 when 3 was released I had 90%+ on ladder. UMVC3 is poorly unplayable on the online ranked as people can cheat, on it regardless, this is a not about how good I am, but a taxonomy of character arch type which is made for people to set up teams, obviously a player who is a lot better then the other player will win with a bad match up.
And I assume u mean my Iron Fist guide when I wrote it there was not a single guide for Iron Fist on the net which I could find expect Assist me video which dont explain any of his meta game, or the fundamentals. I have still never see anyone play as good Iron Fist as I have since then so…
Edit: Just to clarify this is based on me observing different type of users over a year for a study, so I could actually be completely worthless myself in the game and still write something like this. This is more of an academic point of view.
Sounds like you are worthless at umvc3. And no your guide doesn’t make sense in any sort of view… And I have no clue what you are talking about with Iron Fist… But I heard some guy named J Wong had a solid Iron Fist, maybe you should check it out.
To the OP, it doesn’t seem like you understand the game well enough to giving team building advice. You’re of course welcome to post your ideas for discussion in the marvel forum.
Also, “archetype” is one word and has an “e” in the middle. Your publisher must have just missed that.
