So situational that if you get hit with it…you were going to lose anyway.

lol- i really dont think it should be banned… you must incredibly precise with the hops and it’s a corner cc combo.
I don’t under stand why infinite should be allowed if their hard. The way how community set their standard is some time perplexing.
Any ways maybe banning is to strong but cant we soft ban it like only allow certain amount of loops, or Not allowing infinite to be use as kill combo unless opponents health at 30%. ( personal I’m not too find of my last suggestion)
I may not understand how hard it must be to regulate these type of things but I think people just don’t want to try for what ever personal reason.
Either way the infinite’s that do exist may be situational but still have little to no cost. Opposing player can try to prevent them during matches but the advatage of infinite’s is too good IMO.
I don’t know what the bitching is about, infinites have always been around in different games. Everyone learns the setup for them and avoids it.
What the problem is!?
Funny thing is, it’s not that much different than getting hit by his full corner CC anyway (damage wise). Most times people get their biggest CCs off, you don’t even have enough life to let them finish the full combo anyway lol.
the problem is that their are Factions that holds certain values that don’t agree with others. Number of player are going to come across this one way or another due to standards that are set by an community.
My problem is I’m one of the player that don’t value the essence of advantage that was never intended by developers and on cases avoided by players. true some organization due make exception but they lose potential parties for it.
I think infinites tend to dilute a game since it creates a sorta divide by 0 risk/reward situation. That is you CANNOT get hit by it otherwise you lose. Of course you didn’t wanna get CC’ed in the first place, but this doesn’t even require meter to finish you off.
Some games get by by simply having infinites all over the place in which case it becomes a more flow based system dominated by zoning and mixups, but that’s sorta setting up a new ‘zero’ - until it happens clearly joe has gone up a notch basically by not playing by the rules. Honestly, I’m not terribly concerned cause CCs are a pretty balanced system, but hell these are the kinda things that screw a game right outta the crib y’know?
I’ll do it :lovin:
Admittedly, it’s pretty easy to avoid a CC, but given the potential damage to the game, and easiness to ban, plus the likelihood of it being patched out, I think it’s potentially warranted. I haven’t seen anyone use any of this online yet, so odds are it’s impractical.
Has someone tested any of the infinites and whether they work on the unpatched version yet? If these are patch only- there’s a simple solution- run the game unpatched (also fixes the Raiden/Elisabeth glitch)

So now Joe has Kyo/Iori damage potential in the corner with his CC? Oh hey cool!
As stated earlier, by the time you get your CC meter available, actually land the CH, make sure they’re in the corner, etc etc, they’ll be pretty low on life already. Other characters are already doing 70% (and above) combos without gimpy infinite setups off of CCs, just now Joe can hang with them. The only real question would be, does something like this move him to S tier with Kyo and Iori. Personally I’d say no, but he definitely wasn’t far behind to begin with.
clearly a glitch
nothing inherently wrong with CCs in this game
Um, Joe didn’t need this to hang. He already was upper-mid at miminum.
No one ever bans infinites in KOF. No matter how stupid they are. Don’t know why.
Lin’s and Vanessa’s infinite in 2000 was never banned and it never will be. Same with Angel’s infinite in 2002 which naturally the Angel players cried over when it was removed in 2k2UM.
The reason the infinites weren’t banned was because there was no competitive community for these bans to ban it.
KOFXI did ban the Vanessa infinite though.
No they didn’t. Vanessa sucked and no one played her because so many people were tier whoring as usual. Dark Geese used Vanessa in some tournament and did her infinite and no one could say anything because no one gave a damn about Vanessa. It’s like Duo Lon’s death combos. No one can say anything about those either because no one cared about Duo Lon since Kula/Gato was there.
Whether or not it was banned after that I don’t know. However it seemed to me that glitches and the works was only banned in XI.
Unless you come from some kind of underground KoF XI scene from a 3rd world country, it was never banned. NGBC infinites weren’t banned either. Shut up.
well ok I admit that these infinite’s are less practical in some degrees. But im still not of fan of them either.
You’re delusional partner…if you’re crying about infinities or don’t know how to do the infinities, or can’t BEAT the infinities…then…you’re lacking.
A CC has a 100% chance? Then avoid allowing yourself to get sucked into one? If they have bar, jump alot.
Infinity in the corner? Don’t get backed up into it.
I personally hate infinities, but I don’t complain about them, I find ways to circumvent them.
No need to explain anything. This is KOF. Infinites have been around since day one. Buffs/nerfs, glitch abuse, unblockables, the works. If shit wasn’t changed back then it won’t be changed now. And hey, everyone gets hit with glitches, unblockables, infinites. Even top players. And if the best players in the world can’t prevent them then anyone beneath them doesn’t stand a chance.
I’m just waiting for the ban on Elizabeth and Mature because “they weren’t in the arcade version”.
