Ultra Super Stree Fighter IV Story: Need first iteration of Street Fighter IV for story?

Hello everyone,

I own ST x Tekken for PS3 & PSVita, and I just purchased the 3DS iteration of Super Street Fighter, and I was looking into purchasing Ultra Street Fighter IV because of the Steam deal. However, since I don’t have the original Street Fighter IV, am I missing out on part of the story buying the updated versions?

Also, is PC finally worth it for Street Fighter IV + Ultra in terms of online matches, lag, and frame-rate differences?
I main Cammy and Chun-Li on ST x Tekken, however, I just started playing, but is online dead on PSN, I search any for anything, and I get just about nothing. :frowning:

Nah you don’t need early iterations of SFIV for the story. (There isn’t much of one anyway, most of the story you have to look up online).

Cool thanks, I purchased the early PS3 Street Fighter without seeing this on my way back home. :frowning: I beat everyone on Hardest, but Seth gave me trouble, he wasn’t cheap like I heard, but his blows just did more damage to health. I admit, I had to switch from Balrog (US VEGA) to Blanket and spam him with electric charging, I felt dirty, though it was a great learning experience.

I guess I’ll just wait for the Steam Winter sale, and buy Ultra with all its DLC for cheap. I have a feeling Ultimate Street Fighter IV or Ultra GOTY may surface.
