Ultra Street Fighter IV with Omega patch Move Swap

Ultra Street Fighter IV with Omega patch Move Swap -
This tutorial will teach you how to swap the moves between characters for both their normal and Omega versions. For this tutorial, I will be swapping Ken’s moves to Ryu as examples, Oni’s moves to Evil Ryu for the next set of steps and then Rolento’s moves to Poison for the steps after that. Before you start, be sure to make a copy of the following folders dlc to resource just in case you really screw things up. Or better yet, just make a backup of the entire game. I just suggested the former method because it takes up less memory and has a shorter time to copy back into the game’s main directory. I also suggest doing this so that if you decide to do a move swap such as giving Ken’s moves to Ryu and then Ryu’s moves to Ken, that you would need the original files from Ryu’s folders to give to Ken. The identity of the character and their three letter prefix is below, called Character Prefixes. Now, on to the swapping.

Follow these steps for all characters except Elena, Evil Ryu, Decapre, Hugo, Oni, Poison, Rolento, Yang and Yun:

  1. Choose a location anywhere on your computer and create a new folder. Name it something like Ryu as Ken
  2. Inside that folder create a folder called concept. Then create another folder called ae2_110
  3. From patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/concept/KEN folder copy KEN.bac and KEN.bcm and paste them into the concept folder you created in the second step
  4. From patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/ae2_110/KEN folder copy KEN.bac and KEN.bcm and paste them into the ae2_110 folder
you created in the second step
  5. From resource/battle/chara/KEN folder copy KEN.cam.ema to KEN.vfx.ptex.emz EXCEPT KEN.fce.ema and paste them into the folder you created in the first step
  6. Rename the KEN part of the files to RYU
  7. Now copy the contents of the concept folder into the RYU folder found in patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/concept
  8. Now copy the contents of the ae2_110 folder into the RYU folder found in patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/ae2_110
  9. Now copy the contents of the folder you created in the first step EXCEPT for the two folders within to the RYU folder found in resource/battle/chara
  10. Play the game as Ryu with Ken’s moves

Follow these steps for Evil Ryu, Oni, Yang and Yun:

  1. Choose a location anywhere on your computer and create a new folder. Name it something like Evil Ryu as Oni.
  2. Inside that folder create a folder called ae2_110. Then create another folder called concept
  3. From patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/ae2_110/GKX folder copy GKX.bac and GKX.bcm and paste them into the ae2_110 folder you created in the second step
  4. From patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/concept/GKX folder copy GKX.bac and GKX.bcm and paste them into the concept folder you created in the second step
  5. From dlc/03_character_free/battle/chara/GKX folder copy GKX.cam.ema to GKX.vfx.ptex.emz EXCEPT GKX.fce.ema and paste them into the folder you created in the first step
  6. Rename the GKX part of the files to RYX
  7. Now copy the contents of the ae2_110 folder to the RYX folder found in patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/ae2_110
  8. Now copy the contents of the concept folder to the RYX folder found in patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/concept
  9. Now copy the contents of the folder you created in the first step EXCEPT for the two folders within to the RYX folder found in dlc/03_character_free/battle/chara
  10. Play the game as Evil Ryu with Oni’s moves

Follow these steps for Elena, Decapre, Hugo, Poison and Rolento:

  1. Choose a location anywhere on your computer and create a new folder. Name it something like Poison as Rolento
  2. Inside that folder create a folder called ae2_110. Then create another folder called concept
  3. From patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/ae2_110/RLN folder copy RLN.bac and RLN.bcm and paste them into the ae2_110 folder you created in the second step
  4. From patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/concept/RLN folder copy RLN.bac and RLN.bcm and paste them into the concept folder you created in the second step
  5. From dlc/04_ae2/battle/chara/RLN folder copy RLN.cam.ema to RLN.vfx.ptex EXCEPT RLN.fce.ema and paste them into the folder you created in the first step
  6. Rename the RLN part of the files to PSN
  7. Now copy the contents of the ae2_110 folder to the PSN folder found in patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/ae2_110
  8. Now copy the contents of the concept folder to the PSN folder found in patch_ae2_tu2/battle/regulation/concept
  9. Now copy the contents of the folder you created in the first step EXCEPT for the two folders within to the PSN folder found in dlc/04_ae2/battle/chara
  10. Play the game as Poison with Rolento’s moves

I feel that I should mention that when using the moves of a character that isn’t originally theirs, (like having Evil Ryu doing Oni’s Messatsu Gouzanku or Messatsu Goutenha) that it may cause the game to crash to the desktop. Unfortunately, I don’t know of a way to fix that other then not doing the move that caused the crash in the first place.

Was expecting a video TBH

A video of what?

All this necrobumping. He was mentioning that he was expecting a video tutorial rather than a text tutorial.

Oh. Well, I don’t have decent equipment to make a video. Sorry about that.
