Would make sense. Super Sf4 added another Ultra and characters.
Also we would have the perfect 3 Ultra choices like Third Strike.
Personally i don’t think just adding 4 copy/pasted SfXT characters do not justify a 15$ purchase.
Add interesting 3rd Ultras in tough, it starts to get interesting.
It’s worth it. Big deal, they didn’t put the work in. It’s a new experience that will suffice you much more value than $15.
Seriously? That’s like saying, “Oh no, the mechanic put in a new transmission for $300, but he didn’t build it himself, he just bought it so it’s not worth it”
I’m sad you just accepted Capcom’s way of politically correct way of stealing their customers.
Balancing a game should be the Developer’s responsibly. The Customers should not have to pay money to have a balanced game. New mechanics, new modes, new content, ultras, characters. This is all stuff that is acceptable. If a balanced game is the center of your marketing campaign, you’re shooting yourself in the foot.
I am one of the biggest Street Fighter fan you’ll ever meet, I hold 50 players tournaments in my hometown every month. Trust me I love their games.
But to be paying for balance is the first point you get out of you really want to piss off your customer.
That said they are bringing new stuff that is worth paying for, I just don’t think it’s enough giving the first 4 characters are copy pasted from SFxTekken and bring nothing fresh nor interesting to the franchise.
Either way though, they’re adding characters in the least costly way, optimizing their dollars spent.
That said, people will still eat this up. I mean… I wont… I still play Vanilla SF4. But people will.
Balancing a game is not their responsibility. Making games that sell is. Lots of companies don’t even THINK about balance that deeply. Be lucky they’re willing to.
Also I believe Combofiend said no new animations so no. There won’t be new ultras.
Yes, bad companies sell you the game and stop giving a shit.
Then there’s prosper, idolized companies like valve that believe not fucking your customers in the ass and treating them with respect might be the way to go.
Didn’t he say the exact opposite? At least about the new characters. But yeah, no way that they have time to design almost 50 new cinematic moves in six months, on top of everything else they have to do.
How the hell can people be so pissed about 15 FREAKIN DOLLARUUU???
I’ve eatin meals that cost more than that… much more. It’s 15 freakin dollars for content that give’s a game a nice boost of freshness to allow you to get hours upon hours upon hours of enjoyment. Geeeez
I didn’t say companies SHOULDN’T care. I’m glad Capcom does. It’s just also not something they should have to make people work tons of hours for with no pay to do. We did get a free balance update. Now they have to add stuff. Recycled or not that’s still a bunch of work. Look at the kickstarter Skullgirls needed to get their FOUR CHARACTERS. That stuff isn’t cheap.
I heard it from a Vega that asked at a tournament. MAYBE they changed their minds but I wouldn’t bet on new animations for the old cast.
Just wanted to point out that in SG we’re getting 5 characters, not 4. Squigly, Big Band, Eliza, Beowulf, and Robo-Fortune. Though technically robo fortune is a freebie.
But the characters come in at around 150k(?) per character in 2D including employee salaries and the like. I’m certain 3D characters are significantly more expensive to create from scratch. So yeah of course they are going to borrow as much resources from the SFxTK builds of those characters as possible.
