I can live with the damage/stun nerf, that’s not a big deal to me. I will not keep playing Cammy if I can’t have fun with her or doing the things I enjoy most about her, Sako combo’s. I not a character loyalists who will keep playing the character even if he/she is better or worse, if I don’t like the way he/she plays I’m dropping them plain and simple.

If you can react to the technical message and have a substitute frame kill then you can get the unblockable on both knockdowns.

Cammy’s Shoto unblockable off b.throw is walk forward for about 3f (there’s some leeway), st.mk, j.lk

st.mk kills 21 frames, so you need to kill 32 around frames if they do DWU.

far HK kills 31, which is good enough for the setup because the problem with this setup is that because of human error, you really don’t know if they mistimed it so you can’t even use the QCF block (which works if they time it and space it right, but fails if they mess it up or they do empty jump into low, or they do Cannon Strike). So if Cammy’s b.throw gives her enough time to confirm DWU, she’ll get the setup either way.

Cammy was embarrassing in SF2, XMvSF, and mid at best in SFA3 and MVC2. This is the first time we get a solid Version of Cammy throghout all the versions of the series, after maining her for years even with her weakness, and some people flip their shit for that, yet some characters have been OP since the beggining of time.

I hope Capcom doesn’t take forever porting USF4 to PS4/XB1, they know they’ll make a nice profit because the demand is crazy for USF4 on the next gen consoles.

It only seems like that to people who like to press buttons when they’re not supposed to. What most people don’t realize is, she can’t do shit to you if you just down-back it. Cannon Strike isn’t an overhead, and her specials are all unsafe on block if not done at very specific ranges. The most she can do is throw you, which will put you in a bad situation if you don’t tech. Don’t go crouch-tech crazy, though, and you’ll be fine. Just block. Tech only when you see a throw coming… Hell, stand-teching blows up a lot of her ground pressure if she’s close enough.

I do find it funny though that #1 Cammy fan James Chen complained throughout SF4 that she was bad until what AE 2012? Hell Alioune even claimed he thought she was good since Vanilla so James must just be bad/lazy?

Man, beating Cammy is as easy as stand teching? Because if I recall she has some of the most dangerous tools for blowing that shit the fuck up in the entire game.

Not really. They should do it since it’d likely be cheap to do (very similar to PC port) but there isn’t as much demand as you’d expect, just very vocal. The install base for PS4/XB1 is still very small. Even if you combined the people who purchase it on PS4, the people who would purchase it on XBone, and the people who would purchase it on WiiU all together it’d still be small. Only 7million PS4s ~3.5million Xbones and 5.5 Million WiiUs have sold (aprox.) that is a small market. Consider how many copies of Super sold on PS3/360 when both of those consoles had an install base almost 10x the size of PS4/Xbone (360 was at 30million at the start of 2009, over a year before Super dropped.)

I doubt that a port of USF4 on either system would break 80-100k sales worldwide. Especially if it was just a straight port rather than a version with enhanced graphics.

Cammy is scary because she has the best frametraps tools in the game AND very scary throw mixups.

That’s the difference that makes Cammy top tier and Cody low tier.
I don’t care much if Cody throw me once, but if Cammy get one backthrow off I might already be dead.

still doesnt stop her from randomly crossing up with Cannon spike when it clearly looks like shes hitting from the front and the funny thing is, im sure cammy players cant tell what side she lands on

Also she has good anti zoning tools, footsies and wakeup options with a fast/far backdash(though it only has 6F invincibility instead of 8F) and a DP and (in ae2012 at least) a 3F chainable crLK that leads to a combo if she tags you during your frame traps and if you block it she can just mash as a true block string until you’re far enough away that she doesn’t have to worry about being pressured anymore (something people really underrate in terms of usefulness)

Her frame traps + throw game are the most important to what makes he strong but the rest is what makes her top tier instead of just strong.

Exactly. A lot of the time, it’s better to just eat the throw, though… Yea, you’re going to have to eat a 50/50, but a CH cl.MP, TK EX CS, or st.HP is going to lead to way worse things.

That depends on what button you use, the height, the opponent, and whether they’re standing or crouching. I’m not going to lie and say that I know what side she’ll be on every time, but I usually do.

I definitely make use of her cr.LK chain lol. cr.LK x3, dash, throw catches people off guard A LOT.

None of this makes her braindead, though, just really good.
