Is the arcade release supposed to get another balance patch after the console release comes out? They’re still doing location testing at majors after the arcade release and I don’t see any other reason to keep doing them unless it’s solely for Decapre adjustments (I don’t think it is).

I think it’s solely for decapre who wont be playable when it releases in arcades at all. I think that the remaining “tests” are just to placate the fanbase and make them think more work is going on. Sort of like what some people claimed that Capcom was doing with the capcom-unity requests.

That said, I expect if there is something actually broken found (like an easy to perform infinite or whatever) then they will patch it out for the decapre patch.

Let me know when a Steamworks version comes out :smiley:

The eighth? Will it be nationwide from that day? Or only in Tokyo? How long will it take to roll out?

Awesome! That was the reason I came to this thread and the answer is right here. :smiley: Now to find out if any countries outside of Japan will be importing Japanese arcade versions…

Some things I noticed in those:

  1. Rolento’s walk speed looks like garbage. Prob 0.03/0.025 or something. Just a guess though. Was hoping for him to be sped up a bit in SF4 over SFxT but it almost looks like they slowed him down. Though that could be an illusion caused by his animation.

  2. Rolento’s back roll builds zero meter if he doesn’t do the follow up :frowning:

  3. Rolento’s knife throw looks to have very little hit stun, at least compared to the insane amount of hitstun Ibuki’s kunai has. Probably can only combo out of it at the lowest possible height.

  4. Rolento’s wall jump is pretty slow to get to the wall. Sadly I’m betting they didn’t give him back his super jump or scouter jump from A3/CVS2 :frowning:

  5. Poison’s walk speed seems slightly below average. Probably 0.4 or 0.425 forward 0.03 backwards. Looks around Ibuki speed but could be slower.

  6. Poison’s forward dash seems kind of meh but damn that backdash looks good.

  7. Poison’s focus looks like it’s going to be really susceptible to attacks that normally would not hit characters at all. She stands practically straight up with her arms over her head. That is going to be like as tall or taller than Sagat’s focus. However she might have a small amount of lower body invincibility on release (like Sakura/Makoto/Juri/Adon/a few others) as she performs a slight hop that raises her feet off the ground.

It looks like Makoto’s post U2 hits are not affected by W-ultra scaling so that is a pretty big bonus. That also means that Yun’s probably isn’t. Rose’s U2 is probably only affected on the orb hits which is usually less than half of the damage from a U2 combo so not a big loss for the overall damage. I’m wondering how Juri’s FSE is going to be dealt with. I’m kind of hoping that they just make Juri’s FSE duration get scaled down instead of the damage.

Didn’t they already say that Juri U1 gets shorter duration during UW?

Well they already nerfed the time it lasts anyway if I recall. Dunno if that’s in addition to a W-Ultra penalty or not.

So, what is he saying about Makoto ?
Beside in the beginning where he clearly explains she has good dashes, poor walkspeed and her signature move is karakusa, blablabla

Still very doubtful I will use W Ultra with her, even with the confirmation that the post ultra hits are not scaled down. The damage on U1 is just too bad with it to not just use U2 in matchups where it’s applicable.

Well if they did I don’t recall it but they very well might have.

Rolento having a slow walkspeed is fine, he’s already got good buttons and mobility options, if he had a good walkspeed on top of that he’d absolutely destroy a lot of the cast in the neutral game.

I agree with this, he can get in your face easily or get out of trouble easily too with his tools. I’m scared of his U2 tho, this thing goes so fast (can combo from a meaty st.hk) AND goes through projectile, it also does a ton of damage iirc.
Did you see from how far rolento can punish a fireball ? this is ridiculous.

What’s up with capcom, not every character need an awesome anti projectile ultra and certainly not a motion character with high mobility (Seth anyone ?).

Still bugs me how slow he is. I’d like him to be around where Ken was before USF4. Keep in mind, he is also going to be fairly low damage (outside of ultras). Hopefully he at least doesn’t have his absolutely god awful forward dash from SFxT (it was 21F and had like no distance traveled. It was actually worse than Hugo’s lol)

Maybe I’m confusing it with that, we’ll just have to wait and see I guess.

So… Apparently Daigo is playing Zangief or T. Hawk in Ultra after Evo 2014. Looks like all of Daigo’s youtube videos will be getting one less view if he decides to go through with that. In the beginning it’s going to be crazy hype, but for more than 2 months? ResidentSleeper… He needs to be playing Ryu or another appealing character… (sure everyone has taste yeah i get it) That’s like luffy dropping Rose to play Dan… hype at first… then it’s like… dude… what are you doing?
