I would assume the reason was Capcom is broke as shit right now, though if Sony put up some cash for it to be ported that concern could’ve been eliminated.
Hadouken Cabs =/= USF4 but could be another SF project altogether. Take it as a grain of salt but 8th generation only just started…this generation’s FG’s haven’t even started really so it’s all in due time…I’m sure Capcom is waiting from Namco/Harada to make the first move and see the response they get when they announce whatever new FG project for 8th gen consoles/arcade boards.
USF4 is something to tie us over until they are ready to announce whatever they had secretly in development…if anything at all. I’m not saying the possibility of Sony Funding the development of the next SF game isn’t there, im just saying that…the Video may have been a Hoax/Promo…like the PS9…Lolz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ30msk__oI
Just seems obvious to see a next gen port since you can sell the 40$ edition and you don’t need anything else.
It’s a perfect marketing reboot for the series since Arcade Edition, and version 2012 were all very confusing titles.
All I know is the 5th character better be hype. Nothing was more of a buzzkill than when Hakan was announced, after showing the returning 3s/alpha characters which was too hype already.
As for the PS4 teaser… perhaps USF4: Definitive Edition… with cross platform play with PS3?
all the new characters were anti hype (juri hakan evil ryu oni)id imagine newer players would be excited but veterans would be pissed that they put 2 more shotos and didnt put old school characters
I’m pretty sure people were megahyped about Juri and she has legions of fans. Anyways Evil Ryu/Oni were released with Yun/Yang for AE. Hakan and Juri came out in Super.
If the 5th was going to be lame it would have been best to introduce her with the 4 new characters. Cause so many people were mega excited about Poison and Rolento. Some also for Elena and Hugo. If the 5th wasn’t anything special, people would be so thrilled with the other four they wouldn’t care. Now with all the build up and suspense, anything less than spectacular will be a bitter disappointment and draw plenty of criticism.
Guys I have a question about the changes Sagat is getting. Some of them are welcome (e.g. U1 fix), some are FUBAR (e.g. -5 on FADC - yes it’s scrubby, but not having it is still a major nerf), and some seem a bit meh (e.g. stand-up on TK).
But one thing’s really bugging me and that’s the changes to Sagat’s s.LK. I originally thought it was going back to its vanilla version, where it was cancelable from far, which would have been awesome and would have made up for the above mentioned nerfs. But it (apparently) turns out that only the close version is cancelable on the second hit. But what’s the point of that? I can see some applications, e.g., if you’re trying to counter focuses you can carry on using s.LK and now get a bit extra damage off a TS tacked on the end or whatever, but to me it seems like a minor thing overall. Am I right, or is this a better change than I can tell?
