I can’t wait till the ULTRA era starts. Which players will be dominant in this version? which characters will be top 5? Will there be any up and coming players shining thanks to the buffs their characters will finally be getting!? Will Daigo be the best in the world once again, if he mained Rolento!? Who knows!

But to be serious, I know one thing for sure. F.Champ will be a huge threat next year. He is the best Dhalsim player I’ve seen so far and he even wins against his worst matchups sometimes.
FChamp? Ahhh ahahaha no. The guy is good, but unless Dhalsim ends up STUPID good he ain’t making top 8 in SF any time soon. FChamp spends all of his energy on Marvel. Plus while Champ’s gameplay is incredibly solid when he is on, his consistency with that gameplay (in ANY game) is not. He has amazing hot streaks for a few weeks then he suddenly does terrible for another few weeks.
Also, Ricky Ortiz is likely either going Poison or Rufus still in USF4. He legitimately likes Rufus as a character. He really likes Poison and tried pretty hard in early SFxT and early SFxT 2013 to get her to work for him and plans on trying her in USF4 too.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Luffy made top 16 or even top 8 depending on how much Rose gets buffed, he has been consistently getting better and better as a player.
I think people are forgetting how good Laugh is because he is overshadowed by Infiltration. I’d put Laugh in top 8 easily over FChamp or even Luffy as long as Ryu remains as solid as he is now.
Nemo with Yang. Kazunoko or Hsien Chang with Yun. Sako with Evil Ryu. Justin Wong with Rufus (or someone else entirely, I dunno I could totally see Justin switching to Rolento but I dunno if he likes the character. I just feel Rolento would match Justin’s play style well.) these are some of my predictions for strong chances of making top 16 or top 8 (honestly it’s pretty much impossible to make an accurate prediction for top 8 even if we were looking at another year of 2012 it’d be tough with how strong players are right now.)

He said on his stream multiple times, that he can’t wait for USF4.
I don’t know about Poison (I hope we will see a Poison in top 8). Just saw some tweets of Ricky that he is gonna practice Chun at the moment because of the USF4 changes.
Funny how you guys speculate who’s gonna be on top solely on buffs and not on the time spent on the game. I doubt fchamp will be on top even with those sim changes if he actualy doesn’t make a legit comeback to ae.
Infiltration Juri?
I can see him switch to Rolento easily, maybe as a secondary to Akuma or put Akuma as his secondary amongst his ‘bag of tricks’ characters like Gouken and Hakan and main Rolento, but Juri?
I was gona say? I know Infil played Juri briefly…but…I don’t think he’s going to main her…Would be nice. But I doubt it.
Daigo, Momochi, PR rog, Luffy, Haitani, all get a yes. But all the rest we’re like no… -_- Especially infiltration playing Juri… Lol

I’m not basing everything on just buffs, but this game has pretty much been figured out, so buffs and nerfs could play a even bigger factor then before. This could also motivate and put confidence in players with buffed characters to play better. I mean a slight nerf to Akuma could be all Daigo needs, to get in. Lol yes I’m a Daigo fan boy, but would never play Ryu seriously…
