Ultra setups

I think it’s a good idea to get the ball rolling on these.

There are a couple types of set-ups we should be looking for.

  1. Setups that are safe-jumps against delayed wake-up only
  2. Setups that make both delayed wake-up and regular wake-up reversals whiff
  3. Whatever other cool stuff you find, like manually timed divekicks

To get the ball rolling, I’m going to offer what I believe is the first safejump setup anyone has found vs. delayed wake-up off forward throw:

Here’s a a safe jump vs 4-frame reversal characters who use delayed wake-up (Pretty sure this one works, if you doubt it you can test it out too).
Forward throw: dash forward, whiff far medium kick, jump forward, medium kick.

When I was playing online, most people realized very quickly that I didn’t have any setups vs. delayed wake-up so I went into the lab to try to find some things, and this one worked wonders. I have a few more in the works. I will post whenever I find a lead.

This is a good thread to have stickied if it gets quality contributions. I know there’s something going on with cmd dk beating the hell out of a lot of wake-ups but I don’t have a secret method. I just manual time shit and try to hit people on the top of their brain.
Mathematically, if whiffed dk recovers in 4 frames and dwu adds 11 frames, we should have a normal to add to a whiffed dk as an OS that will hit dwu meaty…
Cl.st.hk might be active long enough and can’t be crouched…
But of course, this is vulnerable to all kinds of reversals.
