Ultra changes (location test)

I’m glad you guys are starting to get excited about it

When I practiced it (counter hit on to make it possible), cl.MK, cr.LP, cr.MP xx EX FBA hits on more crouchers than cr.MK, cr.LP, cr.MP xx EX FBA. So that’s nice. It’s a nice 5 frame punish option. For when you don’t have enough time for cl.HP, but don’t want to risk hitconfirming with cr.MK (dat pushback).

It will be nice for tick throws and frame traps afterwards. Afterwards, because something like cr.LP (x2? I forgot), cl.MK has at least a 4 frame gap in between.

Curious how cl.MK -> cl.MK will play out in bnbs. It sounds like good damage.

Well if we could link cr. Mk off cl. Mk then that can be a good option. Not necessarily for a bnb combo since the added pushback may not allow that but simply for pushing them back into the preferrable range. I think Claw has been given quite a few options to keep opponents into his range now and does seem a plus allong with a few more offensive options. We have less charge time on our rolls now so grounded combos are a lot more viable.
And I am kind of hyped for cr. Hp added active frames. I sense a lot more potential from that. It makes for a good frame trap after rolls and serves as a better anti air for sure.
To be fair I would have stuck with Claw even if he was bad out of a blind loyalty to this character. Gotta love the bitch.

Why is noone excited about cl.mk-cl.mk combos? That, comboing cl.mk into itself will give us huge non meter damage. Someone please calculate j.hp-cl.mk-cl.mk-far st.lk- far st.hk combo’s damage. Or better, with one meter, j.hp-cl.mk-cl.mk-far st.lk-cr.lp-cr.mp-ex.fba-izuna

To be honest I’m more interested in cl.mk -> c.lp[or cr.mp] xx rcf. Without meter, of course. Mostly I just don’t want to try to 1F link cl.mk into itself, though. But I guess it could be worth the damage. I just don’t like to screw up and get shoryu’d/reversal’d on.

the first combo will do 296 dmg and the second one will do 359 dmg…hey guys the changes to HP RCF and LP RCF frame advantage on block after FADC don’t appear in the change list anymore…do you guys thing they were scrapped?

Hard to say if they were scrapped, but they probably were if they didn’t include those two but they did include MP roll adv. I won’t mind it either way because I never planned to burn 2 bars for any of those options.

cl.mk, cl.mk x lp rcf x lv 1 red focus ultra sounds super nice. better than cr.lp, st.hk combo…

Would cl.mk on counter hit combo into h rcf?

Depending how they changed the move it MIGHT if cancelled on the first frame (you need to get 20 frames hitstun advantage, new version is probably 16-17 on a normal hit). Should combo into M RCF easily though.

The hitstun is the same, only the recovery and startup are faster.

So clMK won’t combo with MP RCF nor HP RCF. It’s the same as before.

All of Vega’s mediums can combo into MP RCF. It’s jsut that the hitbox for MP RCF is so weird that you usually miss the first few active frames, making it not combo.

mp.roll combos after both cl.mp and cl.mk on many chars, just not all. You just have to cancel at the very first frame. it also matters if the opponent is crouching or standing

Yeah, you guys got the picture.

clMK as 16f of histun while MP RCF has 16f of startup. It can actually combo, but MP RCF’s first active frame has almost no range, so clMK would need more histun to make clMK xx MP RCF viable for combo purposes.

Please? I’m curious.

I’m curious too, it makes cross-up mix-up with low attack combo become more ambiguous because of high speed Vega’s jump

Isn’t ST 42 frames? You could try that. I doubt RCF is going to be less charge time than that.

Is the new cl.MK really 5F from 6F? Along with the recovery changed from 13F to 1 thus making Hit/Block adv changed to +2F->+5F on hit, -1F->+2F on block.
Eventscrubs doesn’t say this: http://snag.gy/LQXXh.jpg

Eventhubs doesn’t have their list updated with the Japanese Nesica list which was released around the same time as the one Combo released.

Hopefully that one is included as the definitive version… I want me some crispy new frame traps
