Those last minute buffs were nice but still no tools to helps us when we need it. Is it me or does it seems most Vega players will move eventually to Decapre (me included)? Even if it’s as a sub I’m thinking most Vegas will play her somehow.
Also could anybody explain to me why they wouldn’t let him finish some combos off an aerial grab just like Decapre seems to be able to do? Oh, and how do I keep hearing Vega is going to benefit greatly from red focus?
i still don’t understand the cl.mk buff. what makes me want to use this instead of cr.mk? same damage, same startup. maybe so we can combo into mp roll more reliably instead of cl.mp? the faster charge time for rcf would of fix the reliability of cl.mp to mp rcf anyway…decapre it is then i guess. who’s the mod here? just change this forums name to decapre! saves opening a new one

these changes are just so overwhelmingly dull. at best, cross-up shenanigans will be kind of fun against terrible players. same with landing super once in a while, I guess.
I dunno about you guys, but I’m legit excited to play Vega. Especially considering how a tonne of characters got nerfed and we’ve got nothing but buffs.
Plus if the super note is real, I’m excited as hell, and the RCF thing is something I’ve wanted for awhile, same w/ the offensive buff of j.lk and cl.mk
no comboable super does 400…then again, nobody has bnb that relies on mostly ex meter either…we’ll see how it’ll turn out. i’m sure most would just spend 3 bars for red focus into a ST to make use of that jumping lk crossup
I’m with Niah. WHY would I use cst.mk instead of cr.mk? Same damage and stun, less advantage on hit and block and slower recovery. Maybe if it became “must be blocked low”. The animation really suggests it. A standing attack hitting low would be cool.
far st.lk-cr.lp-cr.mp-ex.fba combo has always been the hardest for me because of the charge time and the requirement to stand but crouch after pressing kick. Its same with this.
It can only be used if you really believe in your execution and want less push back for whatever the reason.
clMK has the obvious less pushback than crMK advantage. Which is REALLY big.
But aside from that, crMK is superior. Thing is: If clMK is still -1 on block it will be gimmicy as a single crLP will stop any of your options after it.
That is actualy cruel. It will be easier to do crossup U1. After air to air or CH crMK reset it will be really dangerous as the opponent can’t backdash and it also beats a shit ton of reversals.
It’ll whiff a little less on the way to the wall, I assume. And get beat by everything that beats a raw EX Barcelona. Namely everything with a forward hitbox.
By the way, that means full-screan forward U1 should work like EX FBA

Even Zangief has its standing LK + 5 on hit to be able to hit confirm, Vega did not have,
