Ultra changes (location test)

I would happily take EX FBA hitbox buff over Super hitting on the way up. Why they did that for a super we’ll never use is beyond me, especially now that most of us will want to have at least 1 EX on stock for wake up.

Unless the damage is actually going to be THAT good.

Well, the damage is really good. But screw it, I would take the fix on EX FBA all day.
When we whiff it… its not like we just lost damage. Damn it, we have our ass handed to the opponent for a big, fat punish.
Thats the major issue.

So, what if Super hits crouching opponents? Would it then be worth waiting for 4 full bars? Less risk and large reward? If that is the case, it might just be worth it if it combos like EX FBA, we could end matches from a single jump in from a good read once we chip a few hits off them.

I complained about nerfed CH??? Where??? The only comment I made about it was like an hour ago saying I think its stupid. But I also won’t argue for a fix until I’ve tested it in person.

You need to complain TO combofiend or whoever is on location ABOUT the nerf. Damn for a native speaker you have quite a lot of misunderstandings :wink: Might be because you have to deal with us non native speakers though.

I’ll bring it up but like I said in the other thread… this is the 3rd iteration where they’ve made a change. They seem pretty adamant about doing something to CH. If I’m to be successful in reverting the nerf its going to have to address the overuse of the move as well. So far my idea is to leave CH as it is and give him more tools (like a sMK and sHP that go over most lows, PoM comboable on hit, a close normal that is +3 on block or has 3 frame startup, and a far normal that’s +3 on block), or making CH safe at most ranges (something like +1 at max range or even AE version CH). That way its not a one move encompasses all idea and the argument that Vega players will spam CH is void. If anyone has a better idea though I’m all ears

Edit: other than pedo’s obviously fix all/most normals hit/hurtboxes that Capcom has made clear they have no intention of doing.

Please don’t go to the test thinking you need to do anything like placate a perceived “overuse” of Cosmic Heel or anything like that, though.

One reason that move is leaned on is because we need to. I don’t want to get too much into it, but having additional strong options will alleviate our reliance on it and kara throw. Neither need compensation nerfs for that.

Just transparently tell them what’s best for our character and hope for the best.

Sounds convincing. I’m sure they’ll go right along with that… like they did in AE, and 2012, and now. Better yet I’ll let you handle that approach.

And to the guys that are worried about the overuse of CH… well, Ryu’s overuse crMK, Cammy’s overuse Cannon Strike, Sakura’s overuse her crMK and her tatsu… Damn it, who cares that we are over using something? The whole point is being competitive. Back in Super’s days, makoto0124 made a terrific use of Cosmic Heel, but its not like he did not use all of other tools as well.

No, but really. That’s how the guy thinks. He will say something that asinine and presumptious even when the line Capcom LITERALLY gave us in previous editions was “Vega players didn’t feel they needed anything”, which completely and objectively destroys the bullshit line he just used as well as his fallacious, deluded line of logic. I don’t expect him to understand that, though. (or anything else ;))
