Well if he is so hell bent on saving x-factor for ammy, then treat her like any lvl 3 x-factor character and snap that bitch in. With zero on point, you shouldn’t have too much problems when it comes to opening her up, but she blocks for first volley, just wait for the raw tag and punish the shit outta nem/nova.
But if you don’t kill her doing this for some reason, do not fear. With storm on point, you can run out her x-factor, just float all around the screen and wait for it to finish. Ammy is still dangerous without x-factor so don’t start breathing sigh’s of relief, but its makes your fight easier since she lacks damage.
Against a raw ammy, what you need to learn is she has one of the fastest(if not the fastest) normal in the game with her st.:l:(3 frames), I can’t count how many people in my scene I open up simply using frame traps because her normals are very good. You just gotta respect her when she’s right next you, I know, the idea of respecting another opponents normals is probably alien to you(being a zero player) but when she is right next to him your better off not pressing anything. Don’t come down on her with any obvious normals since she can counter that shit really easily, and if she gets counter happy, try to use your assists to open her up. I don’t know if zero can combo off plasma beam, but I get the feeling he can. Also if she does any random okami shuffles and your within air throw range don’t hesitate to jump up and air throw her, even if you fail, unless your really low on life if prolly won’t kill you.
When she activates veil of mist, try to avoid hitting buttons and **do not jump. **Its a free airthrow for her if you do, super jump sure, but do not jump. I think I covered most of her options, hopefully this’ll be off some help to you.
I gots myself a problem. My problem is doom, trish and chris super jumping in the corner and shooting me from afar. My team atm is Ghostrider/Task/Sent. My GR and sent play a nice zoning game but then these characters i mentioned just hump up and shoot. How do i deal with it? I thought maybe of using Striders Varja assist would that work? Sorry im still a little nooblet.
GR is pretty bad against other zoners, so that might be the problem. which ever assist that will prevent them to go to your bad angle is good (aka Doom, Strider).
Actually, have you tried to go for 3rd assist with Tasky (up arrows), i used to use it with Storm/Wesker/Tasky in vanilla against Trish,
I was thinking that maybe deadpools trigger happy assist might reach those corners. Or what about swapping in super-skrull? Can his metoer smash, smash them out of the sky? And if I used tasky vertical arrows would I have to position my GR directly under my opponent when I call his assist? Soz for all them questionz XD just trying to level up my game a bit
It’s an old post, so sorry to bring it up again, but I felt it would be interesting to point out this specific example in this thread. Ammy gets shut down by doom beam, which you’re running on your team. If you can find a way to force her to the ground, and call doom beam, she HAS to duck under it. I play Wesker vs an ammy player and every time I would call doom beam, it was a free command throw because they were forced to sit there for it. So by utilizing your teams tools with doom on Anchor, you can force her into some really nasty situations. With storm do u.u and just empty jump and land next to her and throw. Make her guess, and when you do it, sometimes throw out a j.l on your way down. Sometimes she’ll just take the doom beam to get out of the situation, hit her with a super, or if you happen to have a way to get in (tri dashes, or zero’s tele) use it on reaction and milk some damage. Point being, Doom beam vs Ammy is in your favor, 100%. When she starts jumping to avoid it, you’re controlling your opponent by making them play the game a very specific way. Just keep building off of that, and keep leveling up your reaction and gameplay. Eventually you’ll be rolling him and he’ll have to start leveling up, thus begins the cycle of becoming a good player.
Anybody mashes up, hit them with meaty low attacks. You can’t block low while jumping, so if you know they’re going to keep doing it, call in arrows or drones (whichever you can time better) so that when they block them they’ll touch ground at a time that you can control, and then hit them with the low. If they try to super jump on wake up, meaty low into an assist and then get some free damage. I’m not sure what GR’s options are for conversions, but I’m sure you can find something that works for you.
EDIT: I realized I may have to clarify. During the 3 frames that you are in the “jumping” animation, you cannot block low. Sorry if my initial statement was confusing at all.
Oh, and don’t use task vertical arrows. It’s not that they don’t have uses, but by using it you are severely limiting your options. If you want to cover more vertical space, stick to using the diagonal arrows, as those are still combo friendly to some degree.
Current found or rumored info for all the pre Evo tech findings.
1. Videos for glitch that allows you to essentially trick the game into thinking your point character is still alive making your new point character invincible for a brief period when they come back in.

[S]2. Some rumor going around about a glitch that allows you to call invincible assists infinitely. Might be false but I just remember seeing it. Are we going to see the return of this for a good bit of the cast?[/S]
EDIT: Mostly been debunked now since you will supposedly always call the anchor assist even after the glitch starts.

**3. Rogueyoshi apparently found some glitch that makes your point character invincible the whole round. Apparently a good bit of the cast is capable of it. That’s all I know. **
**4. Apparently an old glitch from Vanilla revisited in Ultimate that allows you change the axis of the character. **
So glad I could get someone to program this infinite! The infinite does not work after restand combo with spencer’s diagonal grab assists for some reason. Would be awesome if it did.
I heard a while back that Wesker can OS between his normal throw and his command throw. Does that mean that Haggar can do the same on both the ground and in the air?
