Ultimate MvC3 Practice/VS Mode Wishes?

Ohai, MvC2 Storm. Haha. Kidding.

I’d like the ability to play 1vs1, and 2vs2 just for fun. The ability to pick all 3 of the same character. Y’know, fun little options like that to add to versus mode.

The only thing I hated about 1vs1s is that it gave you instant access to LVL3 XF. I played one match of Arcade and after a second or two, Spidey used XF on me. XF LVL3 + Spidey vs 1 character = bullshit. A team of three characters would be insanely funny with friends. Use a team of Dantes and use Million Dollars five times in a row. The combos would be ridiculous.

I’m not sure if you’re trolling. Resetting the round resets XF as well! Plus, you can start off in either the left or right corners! I know, I came everywhere when I found out about it too.

Also, being able to pick 3 of the same characters in offline just like in console MvC2 would be fun just to mess around with.

You can QUOTE people for a reason, It’s Not MY FAULT That you are** TOO Dumb** to use it. Instead of being a Prick you should proofread your question, it makes no sense or at least be more specific. Here let me help you rephrase it: *Ability to cancel X-factor in Training Mode With-Out Resetting the Character’s position. How hard can it be… Hope you learn something yah yaahh btch!.

The only thing I want is an option to have no corners. Trying to do a midscreen combo sucks when I keep reaching the corner

This would actually be hella nice to have. The ability to just turn off “Walls” in training would be nice to practice midscreen combos.

My list:
-Cornerless stage.
-Online training mode
-We have an option to make the AI block after we drop a combo, but I want the opposite; an option to make the AI block, then stop blocking after my blockstring ends. It’s really hard to test mix-ups right now.
-Hitboxes, frame data displayed
-Meter gained displayed below damage done; I hate testing for meter building

1 meter is equal to 1 million damage unscaled, Math makes this pretty easy.

nothing wrong with having a more convenient way of knowing.

After seeing 3SOE, the save state it has in practice is exactly what I wanted.

How the fuck is knowing my unscaled damage in a combo easy? Do you seriously think it’s reasonable to sit down and add all of the unscaled damage numbers together for 3 completely different combos instead of just DOING them?

Edit: Oh, and I like Kaiten’s idea. Maybe like a “save state” option?

Yeah I was showing that it’s actually been added in to 3SOE so I know it’s possible now

Not necessarily. They can’t just port things so easily from game to game, especially one as unrelated as Third Strike Online is to MvC3. We’re seeing the features of SSFIVAE be ported to SFxT because the later was built off the former. Just because a company (especially one as large and international as Capcom) does something in one game doesn’t mean they are likely or capable to do it in another.

I didn’t mean it’s possible in any game, just that it IS possible and that people have obviously talked about it before.

Then you have an odd definition of impossible.

Sure, if you consider infinite budget, time, and man power it’s possible, but Capcom doesn’t have that, so we shouldn’t expect it.

Well the thread said “wishes” and to me a wish is something you hope comes true but you’re not really expecting it to.

I’m sorry, they do? :open_mouth:
I honestly did not know that, given how poorly implemented it is. I thought the only way to get the dummy to do something was to control him as Player 2.

It would be nice if they reverted back the record/playback function to menu options, since 8 buttons is dick.

Look at Skull Girls training mode, emulate it as they understand what players need. Mike Z’s fabled Take replays and be able to bring them into training mode to see what you could have done differently. would be beyond godlike.

Wheres a video of SG’s practice mode?

 • cornerless stage
 • low block only option
 • ability to make dummy do certain moves (may already exist)
