Yeah, that’s one of the main complaints about the XBLA version of the game. It’s also why UMK3 isn’t hosted on the 360 at tournaments. Really dumb move to not add button configuration.
I say fuck it. and run that shit on mame. eventually someone needs to get over this rom legality shit. i have never seen in black and white, that we can’t run tournaments on our computers/laptops that we own and can’t use to our maximum ability.
i mean the folks are playing blazblue cs on laptop/computers, dunno why we can’t play umk3.
I bought some PSX to Jamma converters with a configuration option for my Supergun, this way I don’t have to deal with my friends bickering over a default button config on games such as UMK3… It truly helps with some who may want to play on pad rather than joystick.
How good is the ps2 port of UMK3 that comes with mortal komabat armageddon?
It’s terrible from what I’ve heard from reliable players. I’ve never personally played it though.

I know I’ma probably get the foot in the ass for this question. But why don’t most people prefer to play MKT on PS1 (since I know there are a lot of issues with the N64 version)? Especially for tournaments. We’d just ban Classic characters/Bosses/Noob/Rain and be good to go, no?

Yeah, I agree, the greatest hits PSX version is UMK3 with added broken characters but I think one of the reasons its not played is because it would just look bad because of all the banned characters lol
And all PS3s are BC with PS1 games so it really doesn’t seem like it would be a bad alternative.
MKT is not good – it’s got lots of fucked up properties that weren’t in Ultimate because I doubt it got tested very well. It’s basically like ST versus HDR. On the surface they seem like the same game but many properties are different. Plus the speed is different 
btw Juggernaut, I talked to Phil and I have a lot of content to add if we get an MK server going. Well not tons, but I have some SB4 action and I took a lot of footage at ECT2

btw, I have the UMK3 that came with MK:A – I haven’t messed with it much but yeah, everyone says it sucks. Plus you can’t map buttons anyway.

I’ve played UMK3 on PS2… its not the best, it’s not the worst… it’s ok for casuals and it’s ok for practice, but I would definitely stick to MAME for tournaments and competitive casuals.

One of the first things that comes to mind is the limit on Kung Lao’s spin. He can’t perform the corner infinite anymore.
MKT is garbage. I HATE the fucking game. i mean HATE it. But mainly because it wasnt what it was supposed to be: the best 2D MK ever.
