The funny part is I’m not even a huge Mega Man fan, lol. I was looking forward to seeing more outta Tron though. Also the way Capcom handled the situation was abhorrent.

TBH I can’t say I like the way Capcom handles most situations. The only reason their media outings are somewhat tolerable is because Seth Killian seems to be a likeable guy.

Other than that it’s basically a lot of hush-hush behind closed doors, pretending to listen to fan feedback then doing something different entirely, doing something stupid then trying to cover it up with some half assed excuse (Yun and the “bringing the community together” fiasco) and the list goes on.

They should just put S-kill in charge of all media relations and maybe we’d get somewhere with Capcom and the community.

Yun did bring the SSF4 community together though. Now they all collectively bitch about the character. I see what you mean though.

i feel the same way about powerstone 1 and 2, since they removed punch/kick in the second one and replaced it with a single attack button, thus removing about 90% of the combos from the original game. it doesnt bother me in MvC3 though. i thought it would before release, but im fine with it now.

That Yun crap is anything but an excuse; it’s obvious for anyone who has seen his frame data that he was purposely made to be broken and impossible to deal with if played right. Ono was 100% serious and truthful when he said that he purposely made AE imbalance, the only question is what his motive for doing so is.

Please, the way SFIV has been developing, fans and Capcom alike have made it very clear that this was to be THE tournament game. For a deep meta to develop, character variety is a must, forcing people to learn different tools, different matchups and even the occasional counter picks, thus evolving existing strategies and developing new ones entirely. This, and the discussion that stems from it, is what shapes and binds a community. Not some lolgodtier retarded character that is supposed to, what, channel all the disgust the community has over stupid design decisions so that they don’t bitch about other things?

Why do you keep calling Ouroboros an unblockable set-up? Does it hit high or low? I thought it hit mid.

This game has low hitting assists, and it has been said that Strider’s j,L can instant overhead. People aren’t appreciating that MVC3 is a whole different paradigm. The fact that Strider has full lockdown in a game with low assists and no AA assists is gonna be cuh-razy.

I could name 10 games that don’t have 6 button layouts and have execution that are a million times more difficult than anything in SF4.

Ohh, so it’s not just literally the hyper by itself that instantly creates unblockables, it’s more like it synergizes well with already-existing unblockable techniques. That is pretty scary, then.

What happened to the UMvC3 changes thread? It’s no like we’re not going to see more gameplay footage, especially with EVO right around the corner.

And I miss the 6 button lay out, too. I started with it in X-Men: COTA and always thought it felt “right”.

Plus, Whether or not you like the choice of characters being added to the game. I think we can all agree that Capcom did a great job of removing “clone” characters entirely. Remember all the “omg 2 shotos” … Ryu and Akuma play nothing alike…

Trust that Capcom will make Vergil as innovative as Dante is.
