We went over this. Why is it OK for people to demand that their race be represented, and not so much sexual orientation? You don’t see us crying about Xavin/Lucy in the sky/Hulkling/Wiccan not being represented in the game. It’s unrealistic, and very selfish to expect them to represent certain race/sexual preferences over creating a quality fighting game.
Ok after sleeping in some SALT for a night, I think I’m back on the hype train. I’m a 90’s baby too and I did get a little bit of nostalgia when they added Phoenix so 1 out of the 3 characters I wanted is not that bad, sure they could have flooded the game with a whole bunch a reused characters but have to keep an open mind so never know u might be Rocking Racoon and have fun doing it, so I’ll see what the finished product looks like, oh and Nemesis could be the new Juggernaut for the Capcom side you never never know.
No,but it is a really stupid reason for wanting a character.It is really stupid to be salty about characters not getting in when you just wanted them for superficial reasons.You don’t have to be content with shit, but please note that you are the one choosing to see race and gender when it means jack shit. I never said it wasn’t. If that is a reason you like the character, and you want them in, so be it. I never said it was bad, did I? All I said was that it is not right to assume that if race/creed/looks/dress/sex/shoe size is A reason someone wants a character, you shouldn’t flat out say that the character should not be in it since that reason was stated, nor can you assume that is the only reason (Since it hardly ever is).That’s really just a bonus for the individual. It still has no impact on the character itself and how awesome they may or may not be. That’s all I am saying No need for so much bold.
So when capcom adds someone probably only because the fans wanted him its stupid? Then when they don’t add someone the fans want its still stupid? You people amaze me, you really do. I didn’t want phoenix wright, Im probably not gonna play him even if he is absolutely awesome. But thats okay because there are 50 characters in the game.
I think it is stupid as well, which is why I never defended that in the first place, but I also do not see it necessarily being a problem if one of these superficial factors helps the person like the character a bit more. I just see that whenever something of this nature is brought up, it is shot down due to someone wanting TnA or it not justifying the character choice, even if the aforementioned are not true. And as I said before. I wasn’t going after anyone on particular. I just see that shit happen a lot.
In this case it is. MvC3 was supposed to be the big return of actually having some sort of story structure and big heroes & villains fighting for the Fate of Two Worlds. Unless there’s gonna be a hidden mini-game with She-Hulk & Wright duking it out in the courtroom, there’s no reason for him to be in this game because He Can’t Fight!
It’s not the reason I like a certain character. I like characters for their story. I don’t care if they are black, white, asian, gay, lesbian, tranny. I just have a realistic outlook that my favorite character has a high chance of not getting in. And no, I don’t think I am morally better than anyone else here which is why I don’t understand the rage.

Part of it is, as primarily a site for competitive fighting game players, aesthetic issues aren’t that important to most SRK posters, and they aren’t going to want to hear the discussion over and over again. Another part is, and you might not like hearing this, but I think that playing only female characters on principal gets a little creepy and sketchy, and I’m not sure it is something that should be pandered to. I am a Chun Li main in SFIV, and there are points when I don’t like being part of that community because there is so much sexual objectification of her, it gets embarrassing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not about censorship or anything like that, but all the Manginas got Poison today, so leave Marvel 3 be >=(.
On the race piece of this; I can see it, but I do think most fighting game casts are diverse enough without pushing the issue to absurdity.
That’s cool, man. I agree as well. I like Ryu of BoF because I followed him through 5 RPGs, not because he… has blue hair(?). Well that’s a lie, I love blue hair. He’s a bad example I suppose. But I think it has to do with the superficial traits actually impacting the character and story. For example, a love story with a strait couple is NOT the same a straight romance, not in this world at least. The traits help mold the character… but perhaps that’s just the writers, and the same reason why half Marvel can’t cover their over-sized dresses? Hmm… too much thought here, so whatever.
Your talking about the same game where gods battled mortals and magneto struggled against wolverine, sentinel, arthur and x-23? There is absolutely no story structure in this game, have you seen the “endings”(rhetorical question)? But this argument is going nowhere, he is in the game, like it or not so your were(cause honestly I don’t like him either) just gonna have to live with it and try to focus on the good(like vergil, dr strange, nova and pretty much everyone else)
