The cast of new characters is pretty disappointing. Marvel is throwing in a bunch of guys out of left field, besides Dr.Strange and Hawkeye.
Capcom, as usual, I wonder what they were even thinking with the cast. Firebrand and Nemesis? Really out there on those. The only one who looks passable (and maybe more) is Vergil, probably because he will be a cooler Dante.
If they are going to make a second version at least they should do it properly, with a cast that is interesting instead of WTF.

Hawkeye’s level ones hypers consist of a really fast, really strong arrow attack (think bionic arm but as an arrow) that can also be done in air. This seems to be pretty good and looks to have great priority, but bionic arm still beats it (as seen on last night’s stream).
His other level one is called the super scatter shot, where he shoots a number of exploding arrows straght in the air, they hit otg and the explosions cause the opponent to to beat hit by the arrows behind it.
They seem to be pretty good, but I haven’t actually seen how much damage they do.
NONE of the Marvel cast is WTF LEFT FIELD except to people that only watched the movies/played MvC2 only.
I’m amazed you got as far as the bolded part. I stopped reading when he claimed MVC2, a game where three quarters of the cast are useless, was more balanced than MVC3.

You know… I’m actually very satisfied with the roster (I like half of the new characters, I don’t even know or care about the other half… seems about right)
I also like that X-Factor doesn’t seem to do insanely high amounts of damage anymore.
What I don’t like is the feeling that I paid $60 for what now looks like an unfinished game, and that now I either have to pay an extra $40 dollars to get the full version and keep playing, or be left behind with a game that one else will be playing. All of this 9 MONTHS AFTER RELEASING THE ORIGINAL.
