Yeah, that’s the problem. I know day 1 abusive j.H was like: “WTF?! How do I stop this?!” and then it was pretty seeable after awhile…

But I guess with the 2 zonig buffs, it’s means there making her well rounded in offesnse and defense…as well as making zoning better in general in Ultimate.

We got 3 more months until it goes gold…they might make it up to her in the time.

Now Haggar on the other hand…

She got two zoning buffs? All I know of is the faster Servbot Launcher.

I hope the Gustaff nerf doesn’t mean Tron disappears off the radar. She adds a lot of colour to the game. It was really fun seeing her on teams even if though I don’t main her.

Firebrand actually looks pretty good from what I have seen. Ghost Rider is always kickass now matter where you put him.
Although I may have some issues with Strider.

I don’t think we’re getting any major news (characters, stages, all that) until next month, though I’m sure that people at Evo will be discovering more stuff with the cast and Seth may comment on them. Kinda up in the air right now.

And yeah, I enjoy Tron in this game. She’s got a pretty unique playstyle and a personality that brightens matches up. Also, I use her, so I’m hoping she doesn’t get clobbered with the nerf bat like she is right now upon release. If so, then I guess I’ll just move on.

Seth was all cryptic like “they may or they may not, and ono san loves his surprises” so there is a possibility but I wouldn’t hold out hope. Im just looking forward to getting more info on all(officially) announced cast, old and new.

Okay, makes sense. It was only last week we got UMvC3 confirmation, 4 new characters for the event, so that’s enough. Shit, the 8 leaked characters were more enough to hold us over, that was icing on the cake. Really…we don’t deserve any new stuff for awhile.

Yeah, I expect something to do with SFxT and SFIVAE for EVO…but Ultimate? I think we’re good. Just alot more character discovery is enough for me.

Capcom has three options if they want to make this game a little more thoughtful:

1. Make throws less useful.
2. Make j.Hs less useful.
3. Change the throw command.

As it is, every single high/top tier character has a great j.H option select, and it’s just too good. Alternatively, they could give everyone a great j.H option select, but that’s not very interesting for gameplay.

Please play around with Spencer and see if he works pretty well with Ghost Rider (like maybe GR chain juggles with Wire Grapple :uf: Assist or something).

Like I already said, some Thor info would really be appreciated. We got nothing to work off of.

And I don’t play Spidy, but some tibits on him would be cool, since he too didn’t get any buff/nerfs from CCSD.

If anyone is interested in Firebrand at EVO, I would ask if you could try using Arthur with him. I want to know if they’ll work well together, along with any changes Arthur got that we don’t know about yet.

I don’t think so, I know he can get like 800k of a combo with no assist. With that said, Im no spider-man guru so I don’t really know what Im talking about.

Could you check out Taskmaster’s jump Aim Master H for OTGs? Not sure if it was the players at Comic Con but it seems that the way it OTGs is different.

Oh and see if the new XF shading makes it hard to tell which one you are in a mirror match if you both of you activate it. Point it out to someone like Seth if it does so they can fix it.

So yeah, someone said I should start a thread up for DLC modes we’d actually like to see in UMvC3, instead of something as boring as infinite hyper. These were my original suggestions:
-OG Mode. Original MvC3 style. No changes to X-Factor, TACs, etc. If you are looking for something to give people who already have MvC3, folks at Capcom, this would be a good place to start.
-Ultimate All-Stars mode. TvC style. Baroques, Megacrashes, and all that good stuff.
-Retro Mode. Street Fighter II style. 1 on 1. First to two wins. No Hypers. No X-Factor. Maybe even make it intentionally slow, and also make it where throws/grabs do one-third of a character’s health.
-Ratio Mode. CVS2 style. No tag-outs. No assists. Just go through characters in order, KOF style. You can distribute power levels between characters to boost their offense, defense, etc, just like CVS2. Red Health is regained after an enemy is defeated.
-2v2 4-Player Mode. MvC1 Dreamcast style. Each team shares one assist, which can only be used a certain number of times. Activating a Team Hyper will put both players of a team on the screen for a certain length of time. (I know that the game only has it set-up for two controllers, not four - if you can’t hack up a way to put four controllers in, then just make it an online-only and/or system link method, where two locally connected players can team up to face two other players. Two systems, four players.)

Here’s another to add:
Vampire Mode. 1 on 1. Two ‘Downs’. Red Health recovers automatically as long as the player stops taking hits. Players will move at around a 125% of their normal speed. If possible, take out the dramatic pauses Hypers cause from this mode.

What do you guys think? New threads tend to get locked if they have no where to go, so I’m just wondering if this is worth starting it’s own thread for. Are these ideas worth throwing at Niitsuma and co.?

Good ideas, these would make vs battles and online battles awsome! I also wish they would have storymode teams (like a preset xmen team, avenger team, darkstalker, and res evil team that followed their own specific storyline throughout arcade mode with cutscenes and specific endings

If someone is going to Evo, please I’m begging you, ask whoever (Seth, Nitsuma,or Neo_G) these questions for me if you can:

Why in the hell is Hsien-Ko(Lei-Lei) so damn slow and pathetic? This has been bothering me for so long, she could’ve been a really good character in this game.

Ask them their thoughts on gtfo assist in both MVC 2 and 3.

What are their thoughts on Dante and Phoenix as characters in MVC3.
