Over in the DLC request thread, Gene is only two spots below Megaman. I don’t particularly care if we get any more any DLC characters but I do think it’d be awesome if we all just spammed that thread with requests for Gene and others, effectively knocking Megaman out of the top 5 before the list was forwarded to Seth and Niitsuma. Salt would flow like never before.
She had decent enough presence in Mercenaries and Lost in Nightmares. And obviously I know about the RAM issues. Hence the comment about it being so disappointing that less is possible on the new gen consoles.

Late to the party but STARS/BSAA Jill would be awesome. I hate “feral blonde” Jill kinda ruined the char (visually) for me. I dig the brunettes. :tup:
I really hope they fix her, because I really want to use her. But currently in Vanilla, I feel like what’s the point. Compared to the other characters she has nothing that makes her stand out where you have/want to use her. The things she’s supposed to do well isn’t nearly as good as the other characters that are similar to her. Plus her Lv3 is kinda wack, imo.
Hopefully at EVO there’s a new build with her and shuma in it
Unlike what you seem to think, most people are satisfied with MVC3. It’s just that the haters cry about it, and the people who like it don’t flip out and scream everywhere.
Chris: qcf+S. A grenade launched in a parobolic arc across the screen. Visually fits the character and gives him anti air options. All he needs. The speed boost to his Magnum will help immensely in the zoning. He’ll be perfect.
I hope you aren’t running him as anchor though. I use him as point. I think it’s where he belongs. He’s a terrible anchor.
An old Jill costume like in MvC2 would be nice. The new one just seems like a weak Nina Williams ripoff. Very bland, in my opinion.
I would love if Chris could throw grenades in the air, but I doubt that’ll ever come to pass. 'Tis a real shame. Especially since s-kill seems to be alluding to the fact that they’re trying to make keepaway a more viable option in Ultimate.
I (typically) run Chris as anchor because that’s probably the best position for him on my team, unfortunately. Joe / Ammy / Chris is just a weird ass team I threw together not really thinking, but I love it because I love those characters. That said, I often find myself switching the order depending on the match up, so sometimes Chris is on point.
Joe and Ammy have DHC glitch and Joe himself isn’t that great of an anchor or assist character. Amaterasu gets minimal benefits in X-Factor from what I remember anyway, so I just stick her behind Joe for DHC glitch as I said earlier. Chris already does great damage on his own and with level 3 X-Factor he can one shot characters with a basic BnB combo. Not to mention the faster start up on all his specials and increased damage output make chip damage from him incredibly dangerous.
You know, sometimes I play X-Factor Chris and think that, outside of the increased damage output, that’s roughly the speed of what his moves should be. It wouldn’t make him stupid or broken, but a solid keepaway character. I feel like that’s his main problem.

I’m happy that he and Firebrand are in this, I always wondered how they would be in a vs game since MvC2
I have to agree with the people who are displeased with the Spencer look they chose. Now personally I should say I don’t necessarily mind the current look, I just think it was a no-brainer to choose the olden Bionic Commando look simply because he looked more like a super hero, which obviously fits the mold of the game far more than Spencer’s more disheveled appearance in the new Bionic Commando. At the very least his old costume should have been available as an alternate, but it does seem capcom has dropped the ball in a large number of very small ways with Marvel 3. Oh well.
What do you guys think the costumes for the new characters will be? Maybe a Miles Edgeworth getup for Wright, a Chuck Greene motocross outfit for Frank, and a Tyrant reskin for Nemmy. But I can’t think of all of ther others’.
Its true. Game’s fun as hell. Ultimately, Capcom is a business like any other, and we’re all out a hundred + for Marvel this year, but i’ll pay 100 every 10 years for Marvel with a big fucking smile on my face.
I feel like I’m the only one who even uses it. Out of all my online matches I’ve never seen a Wesker use it. It’s fun to use against L3 XF Dark Phoenix, since it works on her balls. Catch it as she’s coming down and she’s toast.
I try to use it on Phoenix but her teleport always reverses my inputs so I don’t bother. Wesker’s counters are crap anyway, anytime I successfully manage to get one of the physical ones, because it doesn’t freeze them in place on hit the counter attack always whiffs and I get punished.
Protip: You don’t have to be good to call someone else bad. Hell, you don’t have to be good at anything to call someone bad at that thing.

Surprise, there are people that play certain characters better than well known players. I am sure I am a better Hulk than Mike Ross is. Yeah, I said it. Come at me. Every time I watch Mike Ross play Hulk, he fucks up with him and just gets bodied hard.
I am. He is better than most Hulks though, which isn’t saying much cause he is played seriously by all of 10 people.
