What the fuck did they do to Ryu hahahahaha. Cool ideas though. Love to see how they turn out in competitive play.
This “relevant” argument is really getting old.
First of all, if people are still thinking about these characters on any kind of large scale, they’re far more relevant in the broad scope of things than whoever the comic writer of the month’s favorite character is. These “90s characters” are still hugely popular because they are memorable, and maybe by this point in time, -get this- classic.
Second, the relevancy argument doesn’t really hold any weight when you consider characters like M.O.D.O.K., Taskmaster (my main), Phoenix, Dormammu, Arthur (my other main), Trish, all of the Darkstalkers, and so on. These characters aren’t picked purely for their “relevancy”.
Third, Gambit, Cyclops, and Psylocke are pretty damn relevant these days anyway. Venom may not be, at least not in the form people want him in, but he’s so damn iconic, does it really matter?
People aren’t asking for all of MvC2’s roster back. Nobody wants Marrow or Bonerine or Amingo. People just want the classics back, and I can’t blame 'em one bit for that.
I don’t mean to blast you personally for this. No hard feelings. It just comes up a lot, and I’m firing back against the general argument.
That Penance Stare is definitely looking pretty badass. I’m already on the Hawkeye hype train, though.
On the Unity DLC Poll, Nemesis was 31st, I think. More people probably would’ve asked for him if Niitsuma hadn’t essentially stated “We will never be able to put him in.”
Nova; however, didn’t make top 50, even when the sides were seperated into Capcom and Marvel.
People who complain about Rocket Raccoon obviously never read Guardians of the Galaxy. Here’s hoping that he has a move which summons Groot
Ghost Rider, Iron Fist, She-hulk = Team “Punchy Characters”
AKA Seth Killian’s worst matchup.
Oh god, I love Ghost Rider. Best assist leaving quote ever.
“I’ll be back.” Wow, talk about foreboding.
Super excited right now, can NOT WAIT to see more. Especially the leaked characters. (Rocket Raccoon?! OMG Capcom I love you)
For those who aren’t watching the stream. Ryu has two new moves seen thus far.
Hadushoryuken, a shoryuken covered infireballs. Begining animation is like he’s throwing a fireball.
I don’t even know what this is . . . . long charged fireball, hits opponent from full screen. Used on the ground, hits opponent if they are on the ground. USED IN THE AIR!! HITS ANY OPPONENT IN THE AIR!. Now Ryu can really threaten Phoenix.
Why do people care about that shitty Unity poll? It was never an officially sanction poll.
I guess they have some pretty good ideas in mind for Nova then, I’ll just have to wait and see. I think it’s cool that Nemesis represents pre-RE5 Resident Evil, but at the same time I thought it was generally agreed upon that RE3 was the worst one. I wonder how he’ll play, like Haggar mixed with Chris?
Strider seems to have like 500k-600k health he dies so fast
I told myself I’d play iron fist if he was in because of the coheed song “iron fist”. now I have to. Also hype for strider.
I don’t really se how people can criticize a game balance-wise that they haven’t played. Red Arremer looking broken doesn’t seem relevant, since I severely doubt any of these chars are being used to their full potential yet.
Does anyone else think the damage looks like it was scaled… up? That’d be dumb. Like “we’re gonna balance x-factor like they want. but make sure we increase the damage to balance that out.”
All I wanted was Psylocke…No hype is coming back for me.
Speaking of, I asked earlier: What is Rocket Raccoon about anyway? I don’t want to hate on him without knowing about him beforehand.
Ryu can cancel off of his overhead and combo after it.
Ryu lookin mighty strong in a Marvel game. . . what is this?
Floe says DHC and Exchange glitches are both gone. Wolverine has been adjusted. Slash no longer invincible and slower.
Look him up on Wikipedia. I love my Marvel, but didn’t know much about him. Apparently he has a affection for guns. Big ones.
He’s anthropomorphic space raccoonwho’s a military tactician and leader who loves to banter with his teammates and use huge guns. No specials powers. He’s a member of Guardians of the Galaxy who main job to prevent events like Annihilation from happening in the cosmos.
I’m going to pass on UMVC3.
I was pissed enough that Capcom sold me a glorified beta for $60 only to release the* “finished”* version a few months later (which we loyal early adopters have the privelege of buying AGAIN), but even if it weren’t for Capcom’s money-grubbing tactics, the roster is a disappointment. Capcom clearly was not playing much attention to what the fans wanted, and Marvel was not paying attention at all. Maybe I’m super pissed off because Capcom has washed their hands of the Mega Man franchise, or maybe I’m pissed off that Marvel thought that Sly Cooper was more important to include that Psylocke, or maybe I am fed up with how little Capcom appreciates me as a customer, but whatever the case I do not believe that UMVC3 will be worth my money.
Oh well, knowing Capcom it won’t be long before Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Arcade Edition is announced.
Well there are a number of gameplay changes that people have posted up. One most notable I’ve seen is that I think they really have reduced the damage, almost at MvC2 levels. They’ve also removed the DHC glitch and toned XF down a bit. I’m also noticing that characters seem to roll after some hits now, like a foot sweep.
However, one thing I would love to know is if they have fixed characters’ super jumps so that they turn around when they super jump over opponents. Has anyone said anything about this?
