Ultimate jill 2.0 video thread

no problem

Heres a ft20 between me and a friend. I know its not very high level and there was alot of mess ups but hey its gameplay :stuck_out_tongue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hm39z3YBjKE

Ur one of the only true jills. I didn’t believe in you at first, but you showed me that your jill really is a force. Too bad no anti-air on that team though, it’s really dirty cause of that resets but im sure it has trouble against air characters.

Make me want to pick up jill again ><

thanks that means alot and yeah it does have trouble vs air characters but it helps me build up patience the best way to deal with them is MGS+Drones or SJ+Drone call

Here is some more Gameplay of me some Jill mirror matches.I got some footage of me losing to hulk coming soon but i still did some things that people should note about the hulk match. Also showed a new jill mix-up i came up with at 2:29 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ha_8PgnXCA

Here’s my most recent vids finally…albeit I get ripped up pretty bad. Used my Dante Jill DoomRox team mostly and admittedly it’s not where I want it to be. The main point is to learn to react to pushblock, then put them in block stun with the lockdown assist, mixup, then combo into reset with the other assist, or repeat the pushblock hunting scenario. I think it will take me a ton of games to put that into place but in the meantime here are vids of me getting worked mostly.

5.Skip to 7:45, I use my old team and unleash some mad beast.

i’ll defenitly say that with your dante jill doom team i feel that jill should be on point and if you wanted to keep jill on point you should try some assist like weasel shot and missiles or plasma beam/rock and Jam Session it might make it a better nuetral for you as a whole

Agreed. Jill isn’t a bad anchor at all, but not only do you have two better anchors on your team, Jill would make better use of their assist. Not even mentioning how fly characters can easily lame out her X factor if they can get away.

Also if you are using Jill on point, use Jill/Dante/Doom and not Jill/Doom/Dante, unless you plan on ending all your combos into raven spike or you plan on only using TAC infinites and resets as a combo ender. Jill/Doom DHCs don’t do much damage unless you use raven spike into sphere flame or are in a corner.

ty guys. I’d say I need more jill on point practice then…I feel like I play and defend against the top tier points better with dante (especially vs zero) and I like the alpha counter if shit gets real. Also, in general I like the chaos of bringing her in at different times and going into ‘react’ mode. But I’m planning on using teams like jill dante/doom strider more as well. thx again

Ok so here’s some gameplay of me vs a guy that plays Haggar,Dorm,Modok and Hulk Haggar Sent. I feel like as if though I did the best that i could but haggars lariat and shit was really scaring me to attack. Theres a few situations where i give some examples of whats good vs hulk at the start of the round and how to approach the match-up. Still i need alot of help vs haggar and vs Hulk. Any tips would be greatly appreciated https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVrPwXbE8aQ

@‌ Galz

As others have stated I really feel you should have had Jill on point, not second. That being said you had some pretty good conversations off of the Somersault assist that surprised me, in short you made good use of the assist. Maybe put jill in front of dante? They have a pretty solid THC.

@‌ Corky

Keep in mind that I haven’t faced that many high level haggar players, but this is what I tend to do.

Most haggar point teams require haggar have a lock down assist and they usually have a ranged projectile assist. Haggar has the same problem as Jill being that he has no way to really cover his own approach aside from assists. This means haggar’s ability to control the match from mid to full screen is very limited.

The problem is that many of haggar’s normals can beat out Jill’s and that he has lariat, so the only real advantage Jill has is speed and somersault. When I play against haggar I play the match-up in a keep away type fashion.
(In the quackbot matchup I feel feral dashing is a better movement option than plink dashing because you can feral dash under Modok’s beam.) The reason I run away from haggar is I like to take advantage of Haggar’s linear approach. Haggar is either going to jump in on you, or move in on the ground. So I like to use a lot of whiff canceled somersaults to remind him that he can’t throw out normals recklessly; this is to make it easier for you to call assists.

Similar to the hulk match-up you need your assists to do the work for you. The natural reaction for a haggar player who is about to be mixed up is to lariat. I get the assist to put haggar in block stun and I usually fake a mix up to bait out lariat so that I can punish him. If you punish haggar often enough for using lariat this way he will be a lot more careful about when he chooses to use it, which makes your life a lot easier. A perfect example of this the match at 7:05. Quackbot thought you were going to mix him up after the drones but you didn’t. It was a great chance to attempt to punish, sadly you used arrow kick to go in rather than dashing in.

Another small weakness in haggar is his air normals at normal jump height. If haggar is jumping in on you then Jill can cr.M slide under a lot of haggar’s normals(similar to how sentinel doesn’t have good air normals to hit below and behind him). You can cancel the slide into a flip kick and since the end of flip kick hits above and behind jill it can punish him and hit his assist at the same time. This is of course situational, using this setup at the wrong time can get you killed.

I also think using arrow kick in the haggar matchup is a bad idea. The move is too slow and obvious to be actually useful in block strings and mix-ups because haggar has lariat. Arrow kick is however very good for baiting haggar into using lariat. I use it frequently when I’m faking a mix-up or faking going in, otherwise I tend to avoid it.

Hi, guys. Just came back!

I was a little OFF because I’m working too much and studying at a master’s degree…

And I was also testing Firebrand/ Doom.

But now I’m working really hard on Jill (Somersault)/ Dante (Weasel)/ Hawkeye (Triple Arrow).

Hope I get better soon with Dante.

See ya soon with gameplays and more.

Hurraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Got some more gameplay of me losing vs a deadpool doom strider player on my b-day coming…Defenitly gonna need alot of help with that match-up shit felt annoying.

Until thoses matches are posted heres some Jill vs Chris Gameplay for you guys. Showing some neat tricks and tactics vs chris in the nuetral to help get the match back in your favor.Sorry i was meaning to post this a long time ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI-zqGl32tE

Ayo,

Have some online matches with Jill/Spencer/Hawkeye. Connection wasn’t the greatest, but there’s some great clutch moments, and good set-ups in there.

Ayo,

Some more Jill matches. Jill puts in a lot of work in the matches. shows some good combo variety and mix-up situations. Shout outs to Paulow3b and his Jill team. This team is working better and better with each set.

here a video based around my old team of jill doom sent make sure you check it out guys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzjdLrXW9Ao

I didn’t know you could convert off air throws in the corner against sentinel and shuma. The MGS+Xfactor air throw confirms were interesting too, was that all the damage you can get off the confirm?
