Ultimate jill 2.0 video thread

I think you shouldn’t even DKD if your enemy’s right below you because they can just Plink twice backwards and punish.

Don’t be afraid to THC when you have the chance, the Jill/IM THC is absurdly strong.

Damn, THC and Snapback are both mechanics I completely sleep on. I have to remember to use them in a bind.

^The Jill/Frank THC is pretty useful too. Jill can combo off of it, and it gets her in through projectiles for free.

Brian Kasugano vs. Paulow3b in a first-to-ten

Just wanted to say that I think switching to Skrull or Hawkeye was a good call against Chun-Li’s projectiles and obnoxious horizontal assists, keeping Jill on the side for a crossover counter or until the fireball train died down. Felt good being on the same page there. That looked extremely annoying, but if those projectiles weren’t there, I would suggest fishing for more Somersaults. That Chun-Li seemed to like the air dash confirms.

I definetly haven’t reached Brian’s level yet. All the time that I think I evolve, then he evolves more. He now uses to dash under my crossouver counter and crossup hit me. That’s a smart stuff that I’ve must known how to react to.

Gangie, that Chun-Li is extremely good on the ground. I know that Brian loves to confirm from a Tatsu or Hadouken while in the air, but it’s difficult to punish them. Tatsu’s priority is absurd. On the ground Chun-Li has the best pokes ever, with her rapid fire cr. L not mentioning her cr. M, that is low and canceled into a triangle dash (!). If I block tatsu or hadouken, there’s nothing I can do besides guessing where to block, cause she can hit low or high extremely quick. BTW, Chun may only throw a lot of projectiles that Jill does not even reach her without a punishment. That’s a pretty annoying matchup for Jill (guess I should write a little about it for the matchup thread…).

Sorry, guys, but this time I was not worthy of using Jill =(

Let’s look at the very bright side. Chun-Li is a rare specimen, and now we have you and your valuable video to study and learn how to beat her. You may have lost this one, but there is a victory to be had. You’ll get him next time.

I’m also a (damn good) Chun-Li player. She’s super fun to use. You also have to look out for her L Tenshokyaku. It’s has a super fast start up and is easy to combo off and get around 700,000-900,000 damage off. My Chun/Iron Fist/Jill team can get and easy 1,000,000+ damage off a simple tenshokyaku. If you were on PSN Paulo, I’d get in some set with you against my Chun to help give you more experience against her… dood!

I am curious about Chun / IF / Jill. It seems like they’re all point characters that don’t help anyone’s neutral game. Would you care to explain it, dood? Because I love Iron Fist, and I love Chun Li and Jill, but I would never to have thought to put them all into one team :\

I’m curious too.

:wonder: It’s just a secondary team of mine, nothing serious. They’re just 3 of my favorite characters and are all super fun to play. Needless to say, I can still pull off a lot of cool stuff with them, and do some very impressive combos with massive damage but it’s not a team I’d win a tournament with… dood!

I was testing this out yesterday. Any combo -> dhc from anyone nets around 950k+ lol. It’s pretty crazy. Do you have any video for it? It looks like a fun team.

Sorry for the late reply, been busy at work. Nah, I don’t have any vids. My only way of recording is with my cell phone so I can’t record matches. The team is super fun… dood!

Different FT10 (1 x 1). Jill vs Chun-Li.

Where is that video of NSR vs that online zero player? Can’t seem to find it anymore.

ka blamo

Ew.

Why everyone likes that video is beyond me.

I’m pretty garbage in it and the stuff I do is dated as hell (along with the team).

Thanks! It’s entertaining to me. Better than watching myself lose.

Here’s some footage of me messing up a lot. And my garbage Strange. I just started playing him recently and haven’t gotten a feel for him yet. But his assist is good.

Watch if you’re bored. My Jill did okay – the rest of my team did bad.

You’re execution needs work. Along with your resets.

Use Arrow kick, not somersault assist.
Stop going for jump loops, your using two good combo extenders. Go for the PNB–> DHC. Should do about 900 something.
Your execution needs work.
Work on timing your resets on wakeup right, and go for a COVERED Double cartwheel.

I liked the gameplay. The mix-ups were good and of course the combos could have been better. Non the less thanks for the upload I really enjoyed the gameplay even though it was disappointing to see you lose.

I hope you put up some more match footage again

[S]With coverage like this, it’s no wonder no one wants to play Jill. It’s like he just now learned about the TAC thing or saw Windzero win, or some other misleading spark that drives one to put Jill somewhere other than on point and really wants to do it but can’t. I want to help this guy so badly.[/S]

[S]I feel like if I don’t, he’ll continue to feral dash to steal the corner and then try to anti-air with one standing light. Feel free to make jokes about the other hilarious decisions found within.[/S]

[S]I normally wouldn’t give him flak since he’s playing against big names, but even that doesn’t excuse most of what he actually does.[/S]

THE NEXT DAY: Disregard that and pee all over me, I am a nasty person at 3AM. Nonsense aside, these are two streamed matches on leveluplive of a player named Galz. The poor bastard only got to strut his stuff against two very intimidating players, though, so it unfortunately doesn’t look too hot. I’ll take it, though, there’s simply not enough Jill players to go around.[S][/S]
