Ultimate Game Center (Fighting Game Lounge) - Panorama City, CA

Hey you fighting game junkies. I found this really awesome gaming lounge over at panorama guy in the heart of the San Fernando valley. What’s really special about it, as that it’s an outlet for great local matchmaking In our community in a offline lag less environment. While I do very miss our local arcade Family Fun, the guys over at UGC seem to really want to embrace our community the right way by having local tournaments, and a place where players can meet up and relax, while enjoying casuals and often times heated battles.

There’s a little over 18 setups and can vouch for there HD TV’s with no lag latency. They have extremely comfortable bean bag chairs and computer chairs for those who aren’t fond of bean bags, although I highly recommend the bean bags. They have ps3 and Xbox setups with enough games for all of their setups. Even extra sticks in case you don’t bring yours.

I purchased an hour worth of time and ended up leaving 6 hrs later because I didn’t even realize the time. I’ve met a few good players there (Jason, Josh, Peter, and LVN). I was really shocked when I saw LVN there because the place is so new. Even Max from Yo Video Games stopped by earlier that week. Photos are on the Facebook page.

The competition is growing and we’re looking for more players to join in on the fun. There’s also going to be several tournaments this November for AE and Ultimate Marvel. 200 dollar pot up for grabs guaranteed but that pot can be so much bigger with the support of the FGC.

Roy (owner) is trying his best to reach out to tight nit community so let’s show some live and support our locals so we can not only improve our own game, and potentially win some tournament money, but to socialize with peers who love the same games that we do.

5 dollars for an hr
10 for 3 hrs
17 for the whole day

While it won’t replace the nostalgia that is Arcades, console gaming lounges seem to be the new breed of this generation. This place is awesome, and on Fridays has live DJ’s. It’s something you have to see to experience.

You can find out everything on their website
