Idk in every video I’ve watched they just prop shredder and go right into acid rain so it has to be a spacing issue I’m not noticing. Like you said dashing won’t work because you have to TK acid rain while prop shredder is still spinning

No s.H at any point and no dashes.

The dash that I mentioned a while back was for setting up Acid Rain during the Airplay BnB, ignore that entirely for the combo you’re doing.

After prop shredder, acid rain do you BC teleport to teleport above them? If so what’s the timing?

Depending on how they juggle off Acid rain, you’ll usually just want to j./sj.HxxHammer > Wild Stomp OTG > whatever. Really not a whole lot of timing involved. This is just the easiest version for when they’re too low to get a 2nd acid rain in.

If you get 2 acid rains, you can usually do volcano xx jc hammer. For that one, you hit with the very top of volcano, then the 2nd acid rain should hit them on the way down, then you hit with hammer.

Just as a clarification though, you can’t BC out of acid rain. You jump cancel to get prop shredder > acid rain to work, but you just act after the acid rain is out of recovery. There’s no jump cancel/bold cancel tricks or anything after the acid rain.

So I was messing around following up on extra conversions Magneto gets with Dante behind him and found that Dante gets a full combo after triggered Forcefield xx Tempest xx DT. You can even Volcano them out of the air and do the Airdash C shenanigans, so you have some solid hitstun to work with. I’m not sure what would be optimal, though…you have enough time to Million Carats, but I’m not sure what I’d follow that with or whether it would actually be a good use of hitstun at that point to just Million Carats into shot loops or something. Spacing doesn’t look great either. You can j.S (not sure about Hammer)…jump forward and do Airplay stuff or Volcano (or dash Volcano neutral jump which gives slightly better spacing) into Airplay into Shot Loops.

Anyone ever labbed that?

Personally I’d really prefer to find a hard tag combo with Dante, but I’m not sure how practical that’s gonna be outside the corner. I could possibly do a Devil Trigger combo with Vortex’s into Skydance hard knockdown though…that seems like it has some potential actually (for me). But then again I could Million Dollars XFC and kill with Frank at that point too, so there’s that.

If anyone has experience with it or gets an interesting idea please let me know!

Lol seriously though, shot loops are a pretty good way of using hitstun. If you aren’t that far along the combo just cram in as much min shot loops as you can for damage. Plus Million Carats does good damage, so I guess Million Carats into shot loops is a good bet for optimal.

Is there a Dante/Frank hard tag that goes similar to Stinger wallbounce xx BC teleport, late falling air H into hard tag? Because that would solve all your hard tag problems off awkward midscreen confirms.

EDIT: Mannn doesn’t seem to work with any of his normals but really good thought. J.H just doesn’t produce enough hitstun

If you can get like 2 or 3 MC in a combo Dante should hit the 900k range for 1 bar. The thing is most of Dante hits arent coming from hard Knockdowns (probably the easiest way to grt MC in combos) they come from Jump H and M. Which doesnt really setup anything you could get meaningful damage from. Its too situational. I think the shot loops and acid rain gb reset extensions are the way to go because they allow a level 3 at the end of every combo and its meter neutral or positive and he will kill anyone with 1mil in Health

Not character specific as far as I know. Key seems to be letting the j.S carry you as far to the ground as possible before you Airplay. Probably the knockdown state after Rainstorm (or whatever air HHHHHHH is, I forget) has a fixed number of frames, so there’s always a small window to link something, but it only becomes available if you land allllmost immediately.

You have to have enough space that after you air play there can be a SLIGHT drop before he does HHHHHHHH. I usually dont go for it anyways since there are better options on certain teams,

Yes the height at which you air play is what matters, you can’t do it at the lowest possible height off the ground because you’ll drop immediately after airplay with no time for HHHHHHHH, watching youtube videos of it could help you get the right height

if you get the right height it’s just a matter of doing volcano as fast as possible after you land

You have to have most of the volcano buffered before you land. Ideally as soon as you recover on the ground you should only have the last 3M input for the volcano.
