Ultimate Dante Combo Thread. Jackpot! Yeah baby!

Oh that’s weird, maybe you aren’t backdashing far enough. I’m in training mode and I’m getting it every single time and I don’t even do this combo anymore

And I personally would stick to Hammer over j.S since it does more damage scaled

I’m talking about this one:

If I’m very far away from the corner then I don’t end up on the same side(ie more than 3/4 away from the corner) if I’m any where closer that’s when the same side air trick bs starts to show up. If I am half screen or less it almost always happens Are you not supposed to cancel the backdash into S as soon as possible? I tried delaying it more and it still happens.

I find that the brady games guide combo:

s.L,s.M, s.H, stinger, bold cancel, volcano, jump cancel up fwd, j.M, j.H, qcf.L, , s.S, s.H (for clay pigeon), s.S (prop shredder), jump straight up, hammer, cold shower (df.HHH) stinger, bold cancel into teleport, hammer, volcano into beehive, million dollars

tends to mess up after the air trick when at about half screen(40%-60% of the screen) anywhere outside of that range the air trick works fine. The Ultimate BnB above messes up after the air trick within a slightly larger area, but still pretty much around the half screen mark.

You mean half screen towards the corner? Yeah that’s a sticky spot as teleport won’t work and you won’t be in the range to do Hammer directly, you can either do Drive or Reverb for it to be completely consistent post level 2 stinger, or airdash forward jS(sometimes you’ll get a airdashbackwards animation and it won’t work though).

So Ive been trying to squeeze as much raw damage out of solo Dante as much as possible without using pre-stocked meter, assists, and Devil Trigger.

So far my max is 827k starting at 0 bars.

Why did Air Dash C have to be the one aspect of Dante I can’t grasp? I’ve been wanting to see how much damage you could milk out of a few reps of shot loops (specifically, maximum number of 2 bullet reps and the followup max bullet rep), but I just can’t do that blasted link at all. Everything else about the character? Sure, easy-peasy almost. It’s a tragedy. lol

Maybe after some time it will become practical, the same happened to the shoot loops, after some training and muscle memory maybe it will become a lot easier.

Pretty cool, how much damage can you get from a j.H ? my max is like 750~770k without assists, maybe with Air Dash C i could get more near to the 800k.

t.t I can’t get the Stinger consistently after both options of shots (1 or max).

I’m looking into adding more entry mixups into my repertoire with my team and made this video to show the things I do use or some theory stuff I haven’t put into practice just yet. I know from experience that Dante has a ton of stuff for incoming, but I guess I’m here to ask if there’s something I’ve been underrating or maybe a new way to mixup on incoming I haven’t seen yet.

Any improvements you people think could be made to this combo?

Every time i see a Throw into a Hard Tag it makes me want to use Nova, his throw game is so godlike, doing 1,000,000 of a Throw that is self sufficient is completely absurd.

Don’t know much about Viper, but is there a way to do that Hard Tag of a Throw? it would be very sick.

sup fellow dante monsters. i’m starting to get the hang of dante now and i’d like some advice on some things.

for example what’s the best way to get back dash :s: > :h::h::h::h::h: xx Stinger Lv2~ (at about 8 seconds here [media=youtube]s0nDn0K5FS0[/media] )? I’m having this same problem with shot loops midscreen so i’m guessing once i get used to it then it’ll be universal since for the most part doing cold shower xx StingerLv2 does less damage/meter build overall.

Are there any good Dante TAC combos without DT? I’ve been trying to find one, but all the ones I can find require DT to work.

You can do j.normal, air play, dash or double jump, j.normal, the hammer/sky dance/helm breaker. What you do depends in your positioning. Sky dance follow ups can be inconsistent depending on your height, the hammer is annoyingly difficult to connect, helm breaker knocks them way the fuck away from you unless you’re near the corner.

Granted, this is from me briefly messing around with tac’s several months ago, so I’m sure there’s something better you could do. Besides the infinite, i think that’s way too difficult for what little benefit you get from it.

Fine I’ll finish the TAC vid. It’s not like…Doom tier but it’s pretty good to know.
