If I have the opponent knocked down in the corner, then do cold shower xx stinger for wall bounce, then intend to JC sky dance, but need the sky dance to give me hard knockdown, how can I assure that?
This situation is integral to a frank leveling setup I’m working on (raw tag to frank then take pic being the goal), but I can’t frickin get the damn hard knockdown! Any ideas? Thanks!!
In the corner, the only way I found that consistently gave me a hard knockdown was if you do four shots into stinger, and then do the bold cancel and sky dance as fast as possible.
If you don’t mind prop shredder, you can jump cancel teleport and sky dance, which almost always guarantees the hard knockdown.
I guess I shoulda been more specific, but the situation comes from task full bnb to downward arrow super xx dhc DT, coldshower stinger jc, so prop shredder almost certainly isn’t an option. My bad.
Like he said do the most shots it will let you before you cancel into stinger. :df::h::h:>:f:+:h: will give you the ground bounce reset which for this is not what you want.(from my understanding) :df::h::h::h:>:f:+:h: will put them high enough that they will be hard knockdown(ed?) Most of the time though, when you do this, they end up behind you so be aware of where they land
Ohhhh, by shots I was thinkin he meant, like, clay pigeon for some reason. He meant max cold shower shots, my bad. Ok ill try that, thanks to you both!!
No problem. The only thing I think you may have a problem with is if I am correct you are trying to get the hard knockdown to tag in frank and level him up. What happens most of the time when doing what I said is they end up falling behind you so that you would be in the corner, and if you called in frank it would probably hit him so maybe my way won’t work. I’ll test it for you.
EDIT: OK just finished testing this for you. From the DHC into DT you have 2 options. You can :df::h::h::h:>:f:+:h:>sky dance then wait a second for them to fall then tag in and you should be able to get the shot in before they get up.
Option 2(preferred):Instead of doing the cold shower do volcano into beehive then back dash :s:~1 clay pidgin into stinger bold cancel and do sky dance as quickly as possible. This method if done correctly should keep them in the corner so theres no worry of hitting them with the frank tag.
So after the back dash it’s S then H then forward H. It’s pretty 1 2 3ish if you know what I mean.
Nice, thanks! I got the idea/combo from marvelo. And he def gave it as method 1. Though he also said to call jam session before the pic, then you can take 2. He mentioned them being behind dante is a requirement for the hard knockdown, so I assume based on your findings he’s waiting a sec before tagging.
How do you guys do the Dash-C combo on smaller characters consistently? I’ve sort of found a way but it’s wonky as hell and I’m sure someone has something better.
Anyone got any good confirms off jam session without strider?
I have found that you can xfc and sj :h::s: into full combo if it hits at sj height although its pretty awkward at the height between normal and sj height.
raw tag after a ground bounce from either killerbee or beehive could open up more possibilities for TOD. but so far, it only really works with Spencer (but i havent thoroughly tested this)
nah, that’s fine since it doesn’t actually do anything besides give you a knockdown. i meant stuff like trish’s hopscotch (or is it peek-a-boo? whatever) capture thing or the quicksilver glitch, but i think those only worked in vanilla anyway. basically i meant an actual combo, free of stupidity that should not be.
I apologize if this is somewhere in the thread, I looked a bit but with laggy SRK it’s tough to be patient. =) What’s the general use birthday combo if you catch two characters on the ground? I’ve been doing LMH stinger xx Reverb Shock xx Million Dollars into XF, and I’m sure there’s something better. Thanks!
LMH Stinger BC Volcano J.M J.H Killer Bee back dash S~H~Stinger Hammer Volcano>Beehive is a pretty safe bet.
If you’re unsure on the characters weight difference and how they’ll react to the fall after the wallbounce, just do [stinger] volcano>beehive after the groundbounce xx million dollars into XF
