any tips on max shots clay pigeon loops? most of the times they’re too far away for the s to connect at like the 3rd or 4th rep

I think you better do only one shot for the first reps (like 2-3) and then maxed for the 4th and 5th. But I’m in no way expert doing this.

And now for one of my own, I’m pretty puzzled on what to do when I catch someone ground - to - air with s.MH right below him. I get M to one side, H to the other side, and then S to the first side with whiff when I try to go for the B&B (MHS air KillerBee etc…). Any ideas?

Hold forward while doing the actual reps, position the characters better with a j.:m: j:h: :qcf::m: j.:h: s.:s: or j:h: :qcf::m: j.:h: s.:h: c.:h: s.:s: string, and I think if you’re doing max shot variants, the safe zone HSD wise is three reps. Four might be doable but unstable.

I can’t say because I do 4 two shots to 2 max shots myself when I want the maximum from it.

That looks neat, but is it the optimal option (not the whole combo, just the confirm with Weasel Shot)

never thought about trying that, pretty cool. the only time i ever use weasel shot in combos is on accident, then i’m surprised it works and subsequently drop it.
other than that you can slow down the m, h, s and hope it fixes itself. you can leave quite a gap in between h and s and it’ll still combo, but it doesn’t always autocorrect correctly.
if you’ve got a fast assist you can call that too, depending on what you have though that could make it harder or easier to combo. <3 quickwork.

as far as optimal goes, that’s probably not as important as just getting into a combo path and going from there.

depends on how late in the combo you use tatsu (assist call tatsu > volcano >grapple works really well but your options depend on hit stun scaling but it’s a good way to get another launcher with out using your ground bounce.

need advice on S gunshots into stinger whats the timing on that??? and is it a must to dashback during the ground bounce?? when i dashback to the S it wiffs.

Gunshots to stinger is something you just gotta practice. My tip is to tap H right away then go right to stinger. Dashing back during a ground bounce makes the combo a lot easier since you have more room for stinger to come out rather than using S when the bounce is right in front of you. It is possible to land the stinger without dashing back, but its way harder.

if your in the corner lets say killer bee them towards the wall you need to dash back and immediately hit s then heavy to shots 2 then stinger only tricky part is the back dash s, it’s so easy it feels like a dial a combo after you land the s. Mid screen it depends it’s easier to do 10 shots delay the the stinger a little then stinger if they are at max shot height and if your doing shot loops.

Now if your just trying s and immediately hit h it depends on the space between you and your opponent too close and you wont hit you want them at least a char and a half away. If your using killer mid screen a back dash works in getting the correct spacing before hitting s now if your using beehive mid screen you have time to back dash s but you can make it easier by taking a step back before otging volcano and canceling in to beehive you can also slightly delay the first set of shots so the opponent gets knocked away a little further giving you necessary space.

Remember if your ever in a spot where you don’t have the spacing to land stinger lv2 remember you can reverb shock fireworks to salvage the combo. Hope this helps.

You mean wallbounce? How reliable is the Clay Pigeon -> regular Stinger link?

It’s very reliable once you learn the timing, I didn’t learn the stinger link after shot loops, but the link itself is pretty reliable after a killer bee backdash jS clay pidgeon stinger(it can be stricter on smaller characters though).

thanks it worked a ton i liked it better when you tap H right after S then into stinger since i am a fast player i got it 7/10 times in the lab still cant pull it off in a match yet tho thanks guys

Does anyone know any good combos using Spencer’s upper grapple assist?
I was looking for something that did 540-560k before super, but I cant find anything.
Only Spencer assist by the way.

This isn’t a combo entirely, but when you do Cold Shower into Stinger, if you call Spencer up grapple assist a split second after the Stinger hits, so like right after the follow-up bold cancel, Spencer comes out in time to catch the opponent for you to go into a Hammer, Sky Dance, anything really, so it’s a neat but tricky combo extension. It doesn’t work in the corner though.

I’m just guessing but :
call Spencer > Volcanto > jump cancel >hammer? Maybe with Crystal? (or the bigger, forgot the name atm)?

That’s what my friend used to do. That can also be used to reset them. After the Spencer>volcano>jump cancel. Do air dash m, he would even do it twice just because it’s so fast and in case they blocked it the first time.

I wonder if with gunshot Dante can pull off such wonder (beside the usual hook reset)
