I prefer dash up, especially for me it would feel way more consistent, especially in a high level match where dropping even one combo could cost me the game.

I’m having a hard time extending combos with drones :’(. Any advice.
Not a big Dante/Drones user ( used to be for like a week then I realized I don’t care enough about Sentinel to not be fraudulent ) but in the corner, Stinger BC Revolver+Call Drones, Drones hit, jump Sky Dance> Beehive finisher
I also like to Stinger BC Reverb Shock+Call Drones xx Fireworks, Drones hit, dash up j.S but I wouldn’t really call that a real combo extender, just a way to utilize Drones. I don’t have too much for midscreen extenders since I never needed one.
For midscreen I just do the acid rain dash up or my sentinel assist extension.
So what is everyone getting in the corner solo with the j.:h:, :l::h: starter?
Around 550k without meter, builds like 1.1 bar, and it uses the million carats ender instead of the usual hammer ender after the wall-bounce.
I can get a lot more if I use Strider assist.
969K midscreen Dante combo that builds two bars and uses one assist. Clownshoes.

So Im currently working on my dante Bnb, and Im currently going for basic starter BC volcano :h: :qcf: :l: :h: :s: clay pigeon teleport hammer etc. Two questions, first one is, I get the feeling I shouldn’t be doing the :h: :qcf: :l: after the volcano since I never see anyone else doing it, my question is why? I do it because I find it easy to go into the :s: clay pigeon after the dive kick as opposed to after an :h: air play :h:, but I can easily just go back to practicing the airplay combo instead if anyone knows a good reason why.
My second question is, in the corner I seem to hav some issues landing the upshots after the :s:, is this a common problem? Momo made no mention of it in the combo guide so I originally thought it was just my incompetence but I’ve been practicing for a while now and I simply never hit it so I figured if ask you guys, maybe Im missing something.
Well yeah of course, you lose out on your ground bounce/meter if you use your Killer Bee, which makes it more difficult to use assist extenders etc. An easy fix is just M, H, Air Play H, timing and spacing is super lenient and you save your ground bounce.
In the corner, you can do a few things.
- If you Killer Bee, backdash before the S
- If you use Air Play j.H, when you land, do st.M, st.H, Cold Shower xx Prop Shredder.
- If you’re already in the corner when you BC Stinger, jump up back and Air Play, j.H, land, S Clay Pigeons
Here’s the secrets:
If you are doing j.H air play j.H midscreen, hold forward during the entire air sequence. You need to stay close. Or learn how to do the dash up S combos.
j.MH j.236L combos after opener is dumb because it uses your ground bounce super early for no reason AND the damage is worse. There’s no reason to do it at all anymore unless you got a happy birthday.
In the corner, jump back and j.H then air play to do the combo.
Show me how, pretty please, I need that damage.
Does anyone know around where Dante caps out if he solo using only 2 bars for DT and Million Dollars? I’m kind of interested to see what numbers are possible. Then I may add assists and what not. With Rapid Slash and DT I was able to break 600k before Million Dollars, but I feel like more is possible.
Edit: Well, off a Hammer I can get 790k. Not bad I guess, but Hammer confirms are always big damage. It’s also only 40k more for a bar. Which is can definitely make the difference, but probably not optimal.
For anyone that’s interested I’m doing:
Hammer/j.S Million Carats xx DT, Hammer, Dash Volcano xx Beehive, 44[:s:~:h:x6] x3 xx Stinger, Hammer, Volcano xx Beehive xx Million Dollars
Double Edit: With Vajra adding another million carats and subtracting a shot loop 895k is possible which is pretty damn good since that DHC to Legion is booty. XF1 after hammer at the end to do lightning bolt x 5 nets you a million with plenty of XF time left to steamroll the next character.

is ~900k. The assist in this case is Vergil’s rapid slash, but with Vajra you could do million carats or tk’ed volcanos instead of the volcano xx j.S that follows the assist call and break the 900k barrier.
What’s a good followup after an Air Trick + Disruptor mixup? Disruptor knocks them off the ground so I can’t Stinger BC Volcano
Tele air m land mh slight pause s gun shots prop shred. Air m picks them up crossing under you after tele where air h often won’t reach if they are in the air more tho air h for the longer hit stun to bring them down to ground
Edit- for the corner (ie our opponent is in corner and you tele behind) you need to tele air m land (they cross under you ack into the corner) mh xx df h guns xx prop shredder, got this from watching yipes, need to go straight into df h guns as launch guns whiffs in the corner (or alternatively go the sj qcf l ground bounce route).
So what can dante do after volcano beehive if I’ve used up my wall bounce and plenty of hitstun?
