I don’t agree with Arthur’s placement. His daggers assist is still great and his anchor abilities are still ridiculous. His J.S makes him much better all around. Arthur will never get any type of respect.
he’ll get respect when someone makes him respectable. I don’t see him as a threat right now, someone needs to change my mind. 
That doesn’t stop people from tiering on theory all the time when characters don’t prove anything, but whatever.
Edit: and it’s not like I’m saying he is top tier. Being bottom with Tron and PW I don’t agree with at all. At least he has a useful assist that isn’t a gimmick and is scary as an anchor (instant overheads).
Please explain Striders setup
Not as a matter of theory, I don’t see what in theory he does well enough to be a threat to the better characters in the game. I don’t feel he’s as low as certain others believe, he’s leaps and bounds above Hsien-Ko, that said I can’t think of very match ups he wins, especially against strong characters which is incredibly important to tiering anything.
Strider any ground string + assist to get option B out and push the enemy back slightly, likely a horizontal assist or beam or something, I use firebrand. Then shoot option B, wall cling xx dive kick xx heavy gram, then dry tag, the initial string moves them from mid screen to nearer corner where this works. In or near corner is the way to make it work.
That’s what I am saying, though. He was listed as bottom with Tron and PW, which didn’t sit right with me. With XF2/3, his rush down is pretty crazy now because of how fast he is and how hard his high/low game is to block. He’s a great anchor, IMO. Even without XF, his J.S has a lot of priority. He feels so much better now.
What match ups other than bottom of the barrel Hsien-Ko types do you think he wins the match against? I heard he excels against Nemesis but other than that I haven’t heard any other match ups of played characters.
This isn’t a SOLO game, you can’t pick one character, so it makes no sense to tier them as though their solo. Think about Vanilla, would it make sense to have had both Wolverine and Phoenix in B tier or lower beause they don’t have much SOLO value?

we’ve pretty much decided ‘with xf3’ isn’t a good argument for tiering people.
Arthur needs some good non-fluke showings, not even at majors, but even at the big weeklies, that’d be proof.
love it! but lvl 3 strider is so awesome! and his assist is so great for Viper that I don’t think I can ever run him on point
That is a good point and one that I probably should have mentioned. The biggest nerf to Zero is some new assists (Strider) and characters (Strange, Hawkeye) being in the game. The flip-side of that is that all of those characters are great partners for Zero as well.
It’s funny because people ignored that statement when tiering akuma in vanilla.
True enough, and like I said, I trust what you and Nini say about Zero more than my impressions. My Zero is flashy, but pretty fraudulent.
It has more to do with his assist, which is great, and anchor abilities. His assist locks people down, is full screen and doesn’t scale combos. His XF3 abilities are fantastic. He can chip you out OR rush now with his instant overhead J.S. I’m not going to get into specifics of match-ups because I don’t want to get into long-winded arguments. My main point was that he shouldn’t be mentioned with Tron or PW. I would put him in the tier above them. He’s a very useful character.
How do you think being able to lightning dive cancel into buster effects his match ups against characters like Trish who historically were able to use their superior air games to avoid a lot of his strengths? Are his hard matches easier? Are any of the new characters issues enough to be solid counterpicks instead of just relatively even?
