Yeah, screen sides are not equal, in vanilla it was player specific (left side for player one, right for player two, IIRC) but is now standard across the board. Interesting test, do TK heavy arrows with Taskmaster on the right against a cornered opponent, you land in front of them as you would expect. Do it on the left and you land behind them. Other applications are possible though.
Does sentinel fall too fast for spencer to combo with a St. L after a command grab?
yes
I just updated the *heck *out of the opening posts. Four new videos this morning, courtesy of my neuropathic pain simply preventing me from being able to relax and go to sleep. If I can’t sleep, I feel like I need to do SOMETHING. (I realize this is not the morning, but my sense of time is completely screwed up and time is passing much faster than it should be. It really feels like 8 AM or something. It’s 1:16 where I am.)

This combo is pretty weak, but sometimes you have to work with what you’ve got~

These combos are much better! A bit more specific in setup, though. Oh, but the double shockwave is always something I love using

Combos off of wire grapple. These don’t really come up much, but, y’know…
I really like the first one. It’s so cool!

Oh, but I think this one should speak for itself, right?
gx loop off party time? i wonder if you can do the whole loop off party time. gotta lab and find out.
Very nice find. For Sentinel and RR, you can use the full-screen variation that I posted last page. I believe its around 20k less damage, but it’ll guarantee that you save your wall bounce. However, obviously it will not work on Tron. Damn fatty.
Edit: It’s a little harder to time at absolute full screen with Sentinel. 3/4 screen, or even a couple steps from each corner makes it easier to do.
Crazy, it’s almost like the combo in the last video was spelled out for you by someone else on the previous page and now you’re passing it off as something you figured out. Déjà vu?
CRAZY!!!
FYI, the regular GX loop actually does more damage if you stick a st.:h: or cr.:h: at the end, contrary to what you’re saying in the video. It also builds more meter before you super, which is another reason to use it.
Depends on the situation.
… Are you… Really? Is this what you’re going to do? I didn’t say I came up with it, I said it was in common use. Don’t give me that crap. Your sort of smug “I already knew that, but didn’t tell anyone ;)” routine annoys me more than enough without you throwing around accusations like this.
re: it dealing more damage if you stick a cr.:h: in, yes it does, but that was not the common ender when the GX loop was found and there’s little reason to do that when the more modern version that you just pointed out you mentioned awhile ago, which has existed for awhile, is better in most situations, and I already bring up my favored ender for other situations of :h: :s: :df:zip. I decided not to clog up the video mentioning stuff that doesn’t matter.
Edit: I realize I probably shouldn’t be as irritated as I am but given how much sleep I haven’t gotten in the past week plus the unbearable pain from my neuropathy I’m just in no mood to be slapped in the face I guess
Well I got Spencer to trigger the glitch for the TAC infinite today. :s: Down Grapple falling j.:h: triggers it off a Down TAC. I just don’t know what to add after it.
Spencer needs an infinite like pre patch Sent needs more health
Hey im new to using spencer and I’ve been having trouble doing his combos. Are there any tips you guys could give me?
Which combos are you having problems with? One of the good things about Spencer is that even the most basic combos will do good damage.
I’m having trouble doing pretty much any combo involving the wire zip and wire grappling while the opponent is above spencer in the corner.
Delay your down grapple then. If you do it too quickly, the opponent goes over Spencer sometimes.
Ok thanks I’ll try that. Is there any bnb you could reccomend for spencer?
Hey! I’ve been using Spencer for a while now and I have one last hurdle with him. When you have your opponent in a corner after Bionic Maneuvers, you TK an air grapple then do a wire zip down forward then down back, followed up a standing QCF H grapple. I can’t seem to get the timing down for the zip. Sometimes I miss the second one. Sometimes I end up on the wrong side of them. What is the key to perfecting that?
First off, make sure you hold down before doing the TK, because if you hold down and then press up you don’t get a super jump, and a super jump TK makes it harder on larger characters and makes it not work on smaller characters. Other than that, there’s two timings to learn, since it works a bit differently on larger characters than on wolverine-and-smaller. They’re not that far apart, I typically judge it by how far from the corner Spencer is. Look at videos of it being done, try to replicate that timing. There’s no real secret beyond needing to do a normal jump TK, just work on consistency and you’ll get it down.
Good shit with the updated OP, got two questions. Any reason why you should use :d::l: :d: :h: :s: sj j.
slight delay j.:df::s:+:atk:, slight delay j.:h: |> :d::df::f::h:~:l: instead of :d::l: :d:
:h: :s: sj j.:h: slight delay j.:df::s:+:atk:, slight delay j.:h: |> :d::df::f::h:~:l: ? And how do you get the right spacing for the second bionic bomber?
rising j.h is slower than rising j.m and you have to delay longer after it. It’s something you can do, but it fails against some characters and if you’re far enough from the corner that you need to dash in Bomber, that extra time can often make connecting M H to the next UVG not work. So in general, it’s not something that I do. Still, if you want to and it’s on a character you can do it on, then absolutely go ahead if you feel confident in it.
Second bionic bomber stuff. What I do, is I backstep jump with a motion like :l:
:ub: :hcf: :s:. This spaces it pretty well against the majority of the cast. For the super small people you can just up back and that works fine.
Id really like to thank all the contributors to this thread and especially who ever was in charge of the first post. Iv been trying to learn a bunch of new characters and it’s crazy how often randoms make these threads and make literally no effort to keep up with them. In one day i pretty much got everything down from the zip loops to the launch m, zip, heavy and lots of great info on saving wall bounces and the like and am easily killing (it helps to have wesker/sent as you team). By far the best combo thread on SRK imo.
